Hows this for a 15 minutes of runtime carnage pile.......Crapy V2's and even crapier CKRC cvd's..When the CKRC one broke,it broke the knuckle and everything all in one pop...

Yeah, I went through two v2 CVDs in about ten minutes too. Haven't had any problems since I dropped in the v3s though.
I'd kind of planned for the worst and had them on hand with me at the comp. Good thing too....I figured the v2s would bite the dust sooner or later but hadn't thought it would be that quick.Yup,that's my next move..
Yep Zach, buy a set CVD from the LNC and put them reasembled (without the sprin and the pin and the screws) in you baking oven at 200°C at 15 Minutes.
After the 15 Minutes make the oven out and let them inside ...
That was a Tempering effect

I drive my really hard and no Problems
And the V3 CVD by Losi are the best in this time on the market

Even with the v3s in it now though, I still have a backup set in the toolbox with me.
Really?
I would like to know a little more about this. Sounds like an easy way to get the most out of your parts.
Would 200°C draw enough hardness out to make it tough?
Are the Losi V3's that hard to begin with?
Any idea what material they are made from?
I broke a few sets of V1's but still haven't broken a V2 yet. I have a few spares but no need for them so far. I have just learned to use my dig a lot more. I have seen a number of V1's, V2's and CKRC ones blow up, but so far, no one with issues using V3's.

I dont know how material Losi use for the cvd´s.
... and the only that i can say that i use my Losi really hard (3s lipo with 35c (not burst) and a cobald puller ith a 19t pinion) and no problems with the Losi CVD.
Only the ckrc cvd break down ... but they broke every time at the same point
Pardon my noobyness, but isn't that a plastic knuckle? Does someone make aluminum axle parts for the Losi?
I have been running the same V3's in my rig since August (pre-release) with 2 Pullers, no issues. You do need to change to AL knuckles and C's when runner big power. The stock plastic parts explode when pushed.
I might have missed it in the 11 pages here but any release date on the chassis and links ?and or price yet? thanks
do you have any close ups of your body mounts and maybe some info?
