so what happened?? pics?!?!?!?

Well lets see,I broke my steering link:shock:,I stripped half the gear off in my servo,I ripped a shock off,broke the servo horn,then two other servo horn stripped,scragged all four bearings in the front knuckles...I think thats it...
I'll have to upload my photos and see what all I got..I havent even looked yet..My girlfriend had the camera the whole weekend.

DANG man, thats a bummer. .. . atleast you now know what might need to be beefed up or sumthing for the next one. :shock:

How did you damage the bearings in the knuckles???? What does "scragged" mean? Description and pics please

Scragged means jacked up!lol But anywho,I took about a 5 foot jump to a concrete floor on the front wheels and bent the bearings and stripped the servo.. I'll post a pic when I tear the rig down..

All that was devided up between 4 courses,I had one course I didnt mess something up on..lol
 
yah so I decided to break my rig down and clean it up so I could try out some new lube options on the worms gears.

After busting the axles down I found this..

Funny thing is the axles was still working..Had a funny wobble to it though..So now I am waiting for a new worm to show up.

Look for a full post on the new lube I am using for my axles,Will get rid of the usual flung MESS losi axles make outta grease.

looks like my gears man. what are you planning on using for lube?? i just put in some GM Special Lubricant. its used for slip yokes and steering gear assembly. hmmm can you say worm gears?? it appears to be fairly light but really slippery s**t. (perks for working at GM dealership)"thumbsup""thumbsup"

I found some awesome lube to use..I will post a thread on it when I get my new worm so I can finish the write up..It's gonna be sweet,zero mess!!
 
:mrgreen: are those your first set of gears you're replacing?? both of my originals were cut wrong. early truck #946. it sure feels smoother than it was.:mrgreen:
