Ok i am getting really tired of my body clips falling out on this thing. What are your guys' answers?

try puting 2 holes in the hood (bout 1/4-1/2 in apart) and put a ruber band trew 1 hole and bring it out the other then hook a body clip to each end that way u wont lose them when they fall off cuz if u make them stay in they will be harder to get out

I have those elastic bands that were made for that but they look stupid. Especially on the mrc. Thanks for the idea though!

If you tie each body clip together with some fishing line it won't be as noticeable as the rubber clip retainers. I run the big ugly rubber cause I'm a lazy bastard...

i use the dubro clip retainers, no better alternative yet.

I just put the loop end of them forward, and have my posts trimmed + the clips in as far as I can squeeze the body. When I lose one or two, I just hack up a paper clip to make more. Since trimming them and clipping as far in as I can I haven't lost one.

Fishing line works great, just connect 2 of them together. You cant see the line so it's not that bad;-) Or just drive better and you won't loose them:lol:

Fishing line is great, used that many times.
Also using zipties to lock the clip works great as well.

I use a different approach . I cut 4 pieces of regular fuel line , about a 1/4 of an inch long , and slid them onto the posts all the way to act as a stopper inside the body . Then I used extra heavy ( thick ) fuel line , used for planes / boats I think , and cut 4 pieces about 1/2 " long , and these are slipped over the mount and snugged up to the body . This set up acts as a rubber mount for the body as well , and the issues with bodies breaking has gone away for me . Looks ok , I color matched the tubing to the truck body color hahaa . And the local course no longer eats 6 or more body mount clips per comp lmao .

No , no pics sorry , cam isnt working at the moment . I went to the LHS and looked at odd ball fuel lines . It is real thick walled the stuff I got . Double to tripple nitro fuel lines thickness . Works great , had a lot of comments on it so far , and a bunch of clones in my area now too hahaaa . Even if you just use regualar nitro line on the inner , and a reg body clip outter , they seemed to not fall out as much . Maybe the rubber mount taking away shock , and that extra slop ? I dunno , but I sure like mine : )

I had good luck on both my losi and ax10 using AE buggy wing clips(the long blue ones)
They work great, and would have to fall out of both posts to get lost

I dont use the clips, body sometimes comes loose if it tip over, which isnt much. I also ran my shocks in the same hole as the body mount which moved the mounts out further so it holds the body better. I would tie a small string between the 2 pins that way if 1 falls out the other will hold it.

but you will have to fab body posts
Move the posts. One post in the back and one in the front of the chassis sticking up. It lets the body rock side to side which helps when you flop over because it lets the chassis rock sideways so your tires will hit the ground and move the truck. Haven't lost a body pin since in moved the posts.

i just spun mine so that the holes in the post are vertical instead of horisontal and i havnt lost one yet
