Some thoughts on RC4WD's K-44
The K-44's resembles a Dana 44 with much narrow OD axle tubes compared to all of RC4WD's axles, with the XVD's. The cases were nicely machined, th XVD's and R&P, as well. The C's and knuckles are fastened in a non-traditional way, I may be wrong but it seems to have a slight negative camber. The XVD's and R&P are nicely machined and I am hoping from quality grade steel for durability. Well it is comforting to know that RC4WD always got your back for an quality or reliability issues.
I like a narrow track width as a good starting point for this build. It is always easier to widen than to narrow via spacers/wheel wideners. I'm glad that I went for RC4WD's mini wheel wideners as it turned-out to be just the right track width. Plus the barrel nut has a firm grip on the wheels, there is no wobbling of the hex, whatsoever.
Moreover, the optional 4-link mount and ARB cover adds functionality and beauty. The ever popular Traxxas' rod-ends installs without a bind for both upper and lower link mounts. I had to mount the lower shock mount on the outer side of the lower link mounts. At stock position the shocks just did not work nicely for this rig. I also mounted the upper link bar on the hole closest to the rear to have the mount further back of the pumpkin and gain a few mm clearance between my servo mount and the 4-link mount. Just wish there is an option for a lower the upper link mount.

Next time, let's talk performance, reliability, and ulitmate take on value for money. For now, given the scale realism, the superior quality of machining, and choice of internal components, Katan sure did Terrific. BRAVO!

Now just toying with some crazy ground lights for the Buggy.
