What is everybody running for batterys? With my RTR arriving soon, I need to pick up some new, smaller batterys for this rig.

Im looking at picking up these 3 different batterys (1 each) from hobbyking to give them a test and see what I like and purchase more. But before I order, I'd like to hear your guys thoughts.

Turnigy 800mAh 3S 40C Lipo Pack (US Warehouse)

Turnigy nano-tech 850mAh 3S 45~90C Lipo Pack (US Warehouse)

Turnigy Graphene 800mAh 3S 45C Lipo Pack w/XT60 (US Warehouse)

Im looking forward to testing out these new graphene battery but they are heavier so I'm not sure if they are worth it. If anyone has tested any of these batterys, let me know what you think so I can decide which are worth buying or not.

850 Nano will fit but I wouldnt go any bigger than that. Most comp guys are running the 450's, should get around 8-12 minutes depending on how hard your pushing it. 850's will last about double the time.

Ya no comps right now. Just practice and pushing the limits to learn how it handles.

Have you tried any of those batterys I linked too (not mah, but like nano tech, graphene)? If not, what brand do you run?

I have tried and used pretty much all the battery's
What I will say about Turnagy is there c rating is a lie and that there performance droops hard after about 6 cycles and pretty much stays there:roll::evil:
I have never tried gens ace I just can't find any
My "thumbsup"favorite is Brood,s lipo they are 500 mah and have never failed me or had a drop in performance . Some of my other friends use them as well and love them I use 4s 500 mah in all my rigs but would recommend 3s

Thank you, that's an answer I'm looking for. TB was my first thought for batterys but I've read a lot on RCC about the turnigy being pretty decent for the money.

I'm going to order two 850s from TB and the one graphene from HK. They are claiming some crazy high charge cycles and low IR so I'm going to see what the fuss is about. Which ever I like, I'll order more.

Gen Ace are ok, Nano's drop performance as said from what I used (still use a few of them in the super), haven't tried the new Brood's yet, Max Amps are good and a nice small size, but my all time favorite has got to be Thunder Powers.... tons of power and last a long time (charges).

The great planes lipo 600mah 3s comes with micro deans already soldered on RTR..

All batteries will work I own a maxamp 430mah 3s 100c other than having a small footprint..
I wouldn't buy another one... especially after liking the great planes battery....
Let us know what you buy...

What is the maximum mah (largest pack) you can run in these?

I will be using mine for trails and crawling in mud and water. I'd like to throw in my big 2S race packs. Is that even possible?

I think your in the wrong forum?

LOL....nope, although I am generally lost on most everything else.

I ordered a Bully 2 to use as a fun trail rig, albeit a very unconventional use.

One thing I didn't look into was the battery situation. I might have wrongly assumed that I could use large 2S packs.

Ok I got my 3s 800 mah packs from value hobby perfect fit like I thought

I was looking for a little longer run time also. I bought a couple 1300mah 3S's before mine arrived thinking they would be small enough.

You can see they barely fit standing on their side.

I really don't think you'll find anywhere to put a full size stick pack on one of these.

Thanks 05Stroker.

I guess due to all of my excitement, I never considered the lack of a battery tray and the fact that I would have to buy new batteries. Time (pun intended ) for me to start shopping.
