What kind of crap are they selling??? I wonder how much CBS had to pay the ref not to stop that fight at 20 seconds left in the 2nd round. Kimbo Slice is a joke, they are feeding him wins.

X2 on that put him in with someone that can fight, elite xc is a joke. sucks they stopped the lawler,smith fight.
They make more money keeping him undefeated. Keep building him up and making more money off him. I was suprised it wasnt stopped as well but the ear wasnt doing any damage really with that weak ass ground and pound. That was a sloppy ass fight.

lmao....the best fight was the girls....it took them almost an hour to get the first two fights in, and they were two 1 minute fights....then they run 45 minutes over there time slot, hell there was an hour of garbage tossed in there to make there tv debut a bust....the UFC has got nothing to worry from this circus....just think i kept switching channels from spike that had a chuck lidell special....lots of people got ripped off for them tickets, but then again it was in N.J......................bob

Weird, I had seen the commercials for the Kimbo thing, with a quick scene of the girl's fight in there, and thought it was a legit thing. I hadn't paid attention to the station or promoters or what the "league" was. I was expecting to see Kimbo on the UFC any day now.
I kinda wish it was legit. I have watched many of Kimbo's internet "street" fights, and thought that he may have the goods. But I also realize that street fighting and MMA are worlds apart. I thought it would be an entertaining combo though.

The girls were impressive. I have to admit that. I've never seen a womens MMA match before, but based on what I've seen in womens boxing, I had low expectations. I always watch about a minute (probably less) of a womens boxing match before using that time to relieve myself and/or get refeshments while waiting for the rest of the card to continue.
I just want to see Kimbo fight Tyson. It's a freak show fight, but that's what both of these guys are. Kimbo is no doubt super tough and an amzing puncher (and it ends there), but he seems way behind real MMA fighters--even the semi-talented ones. If MMA is what Kimbo wants, he needs to get some real fights. I believe the three fights he had were pretty much the fights he should have had--they just shouldn't have been on TV.

I still like Kimbo, Yeah they should have stopped it in the ugliest ground and pound ever. I believe that they should have let them fight. Who cares if they are bleeding and have a disgusting ear. I do believe Kimbo would have won either if they stopped it or if they didnt. He really has alot to learn on his ground game.

I was also switching back and forth between this and the Liddell special, then to the UFC 79 special.
I can't believe how easily the doc's stop the fights. The Lawler fight was just pure BS, they didn't even give him his time to recover and then decide. Kimbo was pretty impressive as an internet street fighter, but that was all stand up...as soon as they went to the ground, he was lost. If it were a UFC fight with any other fighters, the ref would have stopped that fight when Kimbo was on the ground and not defending for what seemed like forever.
That was the first womens MMA fight I have seen, and it seemed pretty good to me. It had more action than numerous other fights I have seen on UFC. Wonder if UFC would ever get a womens division?

Funny people missed free EliteXC's televising of Kimbo (washed up and over-rated) to watch a Liddell special (washed up and over rated).
Kimbo will never be in the UFC, he proved that on the show. He was dead tired after the first round...maybe in the days of UFC's lame-heavyweights like Arlovsky and Sylvia he would have a chance, but not with a JuiJitsu guys like Couture or Nogueira.
That said EliteXC has always done what they are doing. Basically paying people to take a fall to make 1 still sub-par fighter look good. I went back and looked, it actually looked like kimbo tapped in the first round, he was in a guillotine and thompson even let up and the ref ignored it. I take that back , the fight was a sham no matter how much I like Kimbo.

I have seen Pro-Wrestling fights that look more legit than this garbage!
It's like MMA mellowed down to be widely viewed on TV ,they are trying to sell it to the locals who might start watching this stuff with their kids and wife like. EliteXC is trying to bring in a wider crowd than just men who get into this bloody sport.
... I mean lets face it real MMA is not the kind of thing you would be watching with the family on a quiet Sunday night.
Its either that or the fact that James Thompson is a weak ass steroid muncher thats all about mean looks
