CFLCC Meet Thread - *ONGOING*

Definitely gonna have the get the GoPro frame though because all the noises and talking that was going on all sounded like we were under water..

Depending on what editing program you are using, there should be a volume slide bar for the raw video's volume. I have been using windows live movie maker. It is in the upper left tool bar when editing each individual vid clip.

Can't wait to see the vid..."thumbsup"

Yea thats what im using also but i had the complete waterproof casing on mine and the LCD screen and its all muffled and gargly like it was under water no matter what adjustment i do. the GoPro frame would eliminate that as long as i know im not going swimming with it..

as for the video itself, it definitely wont be on par with the one you posted from NewReds, that one flowed amazingly awesome with the music.. this is my very first one that ive recorded, edited, and posted..

Well hope this works.... and if you dont like the music STFU and there is a mute button :flipoff:.

Mud Boggin and Truck snatching

Still fighting with the trailing portion of the video ... Hopefully i can have it up by tomorrow afternoon..

EDIT: maybe itll work

Trail Video

Ill work on the "mountain" video tomorrow when i get home.. hopefully these will do for now..

Videos look good..."thumbsup"

It's definately alot harder than it looks to shoot good video. I would prob say about 15% of what I shoot is good quality video that is movie worthy. The rest is all just editted out because......too shaky, too far away, too close, out of frame, mud got on the lense, took a pic instead of starting video, poor camera angle, ect. ect.

Then it's trying to figure out what to do with your usable footage. I will say that I usually pick the music first. It kinda sets the tone for how the movie is going to be. Like hard rock for a bad ass feeling, pop for more an upbeat party feel and so on. By doing this it helps me figure out what to do with the clips.

Picking music first then allows me to start and end clips/images on the down beat or interesting parts of the song. Gives the movie more feeling. For instance, in the begining of the TTC video were the music say "entered the room like I gotta big *rooster sound*." I put the clip of the big ford truck doing a wheely, straight up in the air......(do some mental imagery)..

Vimeo website has some nice tutorials in the video school section. Keep on shooting, they look great...

Thanks for the input, yea those 2 are my first videos ever so i have plenty of room for improvement for sure, my problem though is patience... i am lacking a lot in that department for sure.. as for the TTC video, that has many many many props to you on that, its friggin awesome.

I guess if i took my time and got a decent amount of music together, whether people like it or not then attempt to edit the video to it, it might flow better. This sunday ill try to do more of a video taking day which is incredibly hard because i want to run my trucks as well but we'll see.
