if its available for purchase as long as you follow the conditions of its use was he wrong?

As I read the thread, there was the debate of legality, T36 posted that it is available to purchase, you said no, exchange were made you weren't correct. simple. too me you were accusing him of promoting plagiarizim and trademark infringement, he posted up that the logo is available to purchase. I don't see where your argument stands. and since i'm not one for getting into online arguments i'll leave it there

He posted a link to a vector resource website. Those websites don't distribute licenses. they just host files that are user created.

I am sure there is someone to talk to about licensing the HotWheels logo but the site linked is just a file sharing site.

I just noticed this part.

So, how do you know that I am not correct? Do you have proof of the correct answer?

I accused no one of anything. I simply made a statement that people were jumping all over the OP for doing something that is done EVERY DAY on this website. Do I care that it is done? Not one bit. But, people cant have it one way for one vendor and a different way for another vendor.

I will say that I was wrong for calling you a dummy and a jackass to start the fued.
But you bring this on yourself most of the time with me and then when I dont share your views you attack my brand, my company, and myself without even knowing anything about me or why I do get along with many of my Clients and customers.

I am willing to bet you own something that you dont even realize I had my hand in one way or another with another vendor. But if you feel better by attacking me because I dont share your views, then so be it. I will get over it.

On the note of Losikid's logo, as originally posted I had no problem with it except for the fonts used and the saying. But as time went on, I found that the images were used from another source.

I simply told him what my past issues were with using someone elses font and offered him advice to whom he could contact to help him.

You my friend started attacking a very good friend of mine without even realizing the source of the logo work is something that can be purchased. just like my logo before and my new one from Freq E tag.

There are many websites that offer the free EPS logo or Vector format with full rights from Mattel and or Hot wheels as well as many other brands. They believe that this helps market their product while other companies go on a hunt for people that do replicate their logo's

This has been a subject for many many years on Deviant Art which is an art and photography website that supports the rights of the artist.

All I am saying is regardless of mattle's legal right and copyrights of the logos and names. they excersize the right to allow that brand logo to be sold and or in smaller files offered free of charge.

and I know this because I was once involved in graphics, a direction I wish I had never abandoned. people who are involved in Graphics have links and paid accounts to websites that offer logos and designs. this is a common platform for graphic work.

here is another free one I found, Unfortunately I can not link the paid site as you are required an account password to access the logo's and graphics for sale.

Why not do something a bit more simple and product related.

I know you want wild and cool but sometimes it can be overkill (pun intended).

This was a quick example.

I like everything, but whatever that is on the left, its abit strange. But the stainless, and font is nice

As for the product related, i'm using RC for rc rock crawling 1:1 rock crawling (working on products for that too), and just all the other forms of rc...so i don't really want to be putting to much product related stuff in the header...and although i generally like simple, i want something that's overkill...and i can get fairly heavy on the graphics because my webstore is all ran through AJAX, so its every time you click on something it doesn't load a new page. So the user doesn't have to reload it all, and it doesn't eat up bandwidth on my side.

The left side is a modified shape of a DX3R with a wild style overlay added to fit your need for wild.

I didn't know you were looking at expanding above rc so yes, that could change it a bit.

One overkill and one simple (ish).

I see the shape now...but still a bit strange,

But as for what you guys are doing, i don't have the creative mindset, in the arts, to do this. And when i do have a idea it usually doesn't turn out how i had it pictured...but i do know how to use Photoshop, as i used it everyday fro two years during hs, so doing what i did with already designed/created images was easy...i figured i changed em enough it wouldn't be causing any copy right issues, which i still think.

Well you have to bust out the pen and paper and start scribbling. Going straight to digital never works out. Even I started out with doodles for my examples above.
