Darren, just 2 double check we need M2 X 10 screws for Axial wheels right? If so the HPI numbers is Z209 and Towers number is LXM808.
 
running a lower triangleation link setup, which takes away axle streer and greatly reduces torque twist.

While I agree with axle steer it doesn't have anything to do with torque twist. Proper link geometry does that.

Bobby, I'm in the same school of thought as you...narrow makes little sense so far to me. Heck to fit my 55T and VF dig in the Black Jack I made it a good deal wider...almost stock AX-10 width (its 70mm between chassis rails).

I also disagree with 15* bent links. 1 bend isn't going to do much, you need a smooth arc to really see high clearance work.

Jake, come to the first comp and you will see what a narrow chassis and reverse triangleation links do, first hand.
 
Jake is partially correct. Geometry is the right way to do things. The advantage that we are getting from this narrow chassis is simply put as a better than stock bottom link geometry and that helps with the rear steer effect but does not eliminate it. As a side benefit the less surface area on the bottom the harder it is for it to get hung up on rocks, less to drag. I can think of only one other way to get what we are achieving and that would be a rear triangulated bottom link setup with a skid that promotes a good slide. Perhaps an angle cut front, back and on both sides. It would resemble a pyramid when looked at upside down. That shape would force the rig to topple to one direction or another and let it rest on a flat skid plate.
 
I would think a flat head might be better so we could get the head flush with the ring. But a button head might be good too.
 
Ok guy's just got home after a sit down with Emery from Stage 3 and all I have to say is WOW! Got my hands on the new spools and they are some really nice work! Also got my hands on some other stuff to do some testing for him and I am very impressed with the work and commitment he is showing me. We discused alot of new ideas and concepts of which I can not lead into other than I would have to kill you if you found out. I belive he will show up to DB's at some point this week to do some PR with the rest of those in the group and I myself will try my best to attend at some point so PM me with your plans this week and GO WINGS!"thumbsup"
 
I did'nt really look, but I'm sure I have one around here somewhere. I had a plumbing problem yesterday so that kept me busy. Speaking of which I still have to fix today, because everything was closed by the time it happened.:flipoff: So I'll be here playing Joe the plummer. :roll:
 
Right at the holding tank, the main line they had a reducer that went to my water softener broke right off. Dude when I opened the door to the basement It was like a firehose. :x

i put a rooster in it yesterday and the stock silver can motor screems...but u can tell i have way more amps ready to go then the motor can handle
