So I had an 82 Jeep CJ 7, owned it for about 7 years and my Dad and Brother would buy me stuff that was CJ 7 related for birthdays and Christmas, well one year my Dad give me this BIG CJ7 made of plastic and it is a Bourbon decantor. Well it has been in my closet for a while and I never really thought about it till my brother was over and he says hey this looks like it will fit the truck better tan that would...

So after looking at it I think that is the direction I am going to go, the body is really high quality and has a lot of cool detail. Well here are the pics.

I don't think I will use the hard top and may build my own cage like my jeep had...

It will be the only one out there, I can't even find out any other info on it, it was made by Daviess County Distilling Company...

What do you think...

I have been searching for a cj body. That's awesome. What's the wheelbase on it? I'd love to build one that matches my 1:1 but I'm having no luck on the body hunt.

The wheel base is 10.5 inches and it is 7 in wide, 16 inches over all length.

As far as finding one, watch e-bay they have the semi truck that came from the same company.

So I to to looking at the body and put it on the honcho frame, the wheel base is a little long...

I think I can move the rear end to match better.

NIce CJ

I would ether adjust the body so it sits right over the rear wheels using the extra in front for a winch mount.

or

Move the body up to fit the frame in front and chopping the back. The shock towers can very easily be moved in the back to adjust after the chop.

All in All the body is a great piece to start with.

I would position the body to fit over the front. This way when you do your CMS steering all your geometry and mounting holes are in place. Build some links, shorten the rear and cut the chassis down. Drill new holes for your shock mounts and your golden. That's a real nice CJ body. You could make this a real nice build. Want to sell the body?

So thanks to my brother some progress has been made, on my CJ7, now it is a CJ8 scrambler, cause the wheel base was not really lining up very well. Here are some pics.
