Cliff Climber Rock Racer Style with Standard 6-Cell Stick Packs

damn good job on that chassis"thumbsup" that thing is trick. does the extended chassis help with the stock tires? also what servo are you using?

Thanks! It doesn't flip backwards as easy on steep angles. Cutting the tires gave them a little more grip. It is definetly an improvement over stock but a set of Flatirons would help it alot. I bought this rig to run with my brother so I'm keeping the stock tires so we are somewhat competitive. His is still stock. I am running the stock servo in the rear and a Futaba S3003 in the front.

After reading a couple threads about cutting the stock cc wheels I gave it a try. I cut out every other center lug. It seems to help with traction. Thanks to a little info from Jamus I ordered and installed a 12 tooth pinion up front. The clod stall is better but not completely fixed. I think it was worth it for a $5 mod."thumbsup"

how much better is the stall? where did you get the pinion? I am really thinking of getting a CC but dont want to if the stall is horrible.

with my set up stall is still present in the "right" conditions and it does require a different driving style than a shafty. the best technique i use is to slightly blip the throttle to burst current to both motors. it actually works.
she'll out crawl my stock ax10

vanquish chassis/ 2.2rovers/ rockrippers/ tekin fxr/ banebots/ etc etc

Stall is much better than stock but still there. highboy is right you just have to adjust your driving style. To me a CC is kinda like a CC-01. Speed is your friend. You can get over about anything if you just hit it and go. I got the pinion from theToyz.com. Its a Vendetta pinion. It has been said before, there are much more capable crawlers but for the price the CC is hard to beat. If you want an idea of how mine runs check out the video a few posts back.

Good to hear and thanks for the compliment. Money is just paper. Spend it and go make some more.

Ha Ha wish it was that easy man! Im just 13, and I usually bring in around $800-$1000 each year for my hobby (ADDICTION). I've been looking for a CC but I cant find them anywhere. Tower doesnt have them anymore. Is there anywhere else to get them other than ebay?
