Cold Cajun Crawler Party 1/21/12

Is it a sensored BL motor? If so run it. Otherwise run the 55. Either way, don't sweat it much, just come. Will give you something to compare against later when you do get what you want.
Edit- This isn't some serious big deal of a gathering, didn't mean to make it sound like it if I did. :ror:
Don't worry too much about "how you'll do", just come enjoy the day. We are pretty laid back over here. Just wanna cut up and have a good time."thumbsup"

Looking forward to cutting up! lol. Just finished Tig'n on the axles. Gotta make the Axle side link mounts, links, and figure out how in the world the shocks are going to work.

I have a Miller EconoTig. Decent machine, does what I need it to do. I'm saving my money to get a Syncrowave so I can weld some 1:1 Chassis.

That machine is alot of bang for the buck. I have been looking at the Everlasting 250EX for a while now. May snag one when things pick up.

I suppose it's time we start the who's bringing what list.
Don't worry about a cooler unless you need your beer really close, I have an outside fridge.
I will be smoking about 9 pounds of pulled pork, and will be making home made sauce to go on top.
So we still need chips, a couple loaves of plain ol' white bread, drinks, paper towels and paper plates.
Chime in with what you'd like to bring. I would suggest that everyone bring their own drinks, so that everyone has what they want.
I will update this post as the people chime in so we have a list.
Thanks for the help."thumbsup"

Weather

Weather has shown between a 20-60% chance of rain on Saturday for the last week. I'm betting it will stay away or not stay long if it does come . Should things change radically and it looks like there will be a monsoon, how do all of you feel about Sunday as the alternate? If all agree, and it looks necessary, I will post up on Friday evening to make it official for Sunday. Right now I still feel pretty good about Saturday.

Also the motor isn't sensored, but I didn't really have problems with cogging on my SC 104x4 then again I was never going super slow either.

The 15t gets super hot.. The 55t is an option.. I'm not sure how the 10.5 effect the transmission.

Side note the speed control in the crawler is from the race truck, not the 10.5t so it might cog.. I might swap it in today to test it.

OK, spoke with alot of you via text already but we are changing this event to Sunday so we will have good weather. I know I said I'd make the decision on Friday but I have a 24 hour cook involved, so I need to plan a bit further ahead. I hope this works for you guys. Send me a pm for my addy and contact info."thumbsup"

can you pm your info..

Side note the 17t came in yesterday, abs the battery..

Some how I ordered a 2848 not a normal 540 can, and the battery is to big. I modded the motor mount and installed the dig. Just have to straighten my wires

Just got off off the phone ith your boss, he said you could use one of your paid sick days. Got you a raise too.:mrgreen:

9 guys or so I think. There are 5-6 others that wanted to make it but ended up out of town or committed to other things that day.
Would be good to have more but there just aren't that many crawlers close by. This is already 7 or 8 more people than I usually have to crawl with so I'm happy."thumbsup"
Just means we can run more courses and eat more BBQ.
