Well i guess i was wrong, sure looked like a HW motor in that blue, so what is it, a gear reduction thing(don't honestly know what its called)
yeah with that said i wonder what other hard bodies would work on this (leaf'd rear axle and IFS...)
From an IG page. I ordered one up.

you could ask him to measure wheelbase when it arrives?
*looks to be at least longer than 313mm as its well longer than a standard wheelbase TF2 so i think its longer than a LWB TF2. so we know its... long. 324mm? just a guess.
Wheelbase is now listed on the RC4WD site:
Wheelbase: 13.89" (353mm)
The website Szczerba posted says the overall length is about 24 inches but who knows if that is accurate.
Either way, it is large and unwieldy much like a real Raptor.
how so? should a hilux be bigger than a raptor? i think the scale looks spot on.
Looks like they scaled up to 1/8 to make it the correct scale size in proportion to the Toyota body.

another concern i have is the hub design. are we going to be able to bolt a standard hex hub wheel on this without some crazy adapters?
This body is a smidge larger than the new bright raptor that some of us utilize on the 1/10 scale crawlers and that body is rated speaking wise, 1/8 scale size. Now, that 1/8 scale new bright designation is most likely pretty generous, but if you were take the 13.86 inch wheels base of this RC4WD/JD models version and multiply it by 8, getting a wheelbase of just shy of 111 inches, it's shorter than what a supercab raptor should be 1:1, which stand at 133 inch. calling this a 1/10 scale in realistic terms is most likely more accurate, equating to a wheelbase of 139.6 in the real world.
thanks for clearing that up, gents.
with that said, getting a driver figure from NECA at 7 inches, wouldn't quite look right? that's kind of a bummer and maybe a deal breaker.
It's pretty close to 1/9 scale, just like the TF2.
1/9 scale would equate to a 124.74 inch wheelbase, still further away from reality than 1/10 scale does, buth 9 inches one direction and 6 the other, its the different in datsun and "dotsun"
edit: I'm not generally a scale nazi, but I'm a ford sales manager and happened to have the raptor specs sitting in front of me haha
