Copy of my 85 4Runner trail rig, full interior with 4 bucket seats

It's coming together and working good. Get it all buttoned up and we'll hit the Bean in a few weeks. We'll take some video of the rigs and make a movie.

Axle swap front and rear coming soon. Just received the rear axle.

Trying to decide on a 35t or 45t motor using 3S power, have not weighted yet, but guess it's 7 lbs.

Dithching the Brushless, it does great but the beeps are annoying

Any body have recommendations for a Brushed motor?

Can't remember exactly which model but I run a Brood 35t that is an absolute beast on torque and power. It runs even better now with Mamba Max speed control and on 11.1v

is that driver the dude from twilight ? haha all joking aside he looks better than the roided out wrestler figures, will the arms be able to grab on to a steering wheel? if so i may have to pick one up "thumbsup".

I run a Brood Apocalypse HHK R/T 35T sometimes on 3S other times 4S.
with an SCX trans,stock spur and 14T pinion it has plenty of torque and just enough wheel speed to bump over the tough stuff. with a summit trans 62T spur and 16T pinion its just AWESOME gobs of torque in 1st gear and more than enough speed for mud and makes a great basher.

Yea it's Jacob from a tv show.
his shoulders and wrists move, but a bit of heat u can bend it a little. I had to do some cutting to make him sit.

Thanks for the feedback. going to check it out.

Swapped in the XR10 steering and axles along with some brass rod for weight and drilled out for the axles.

Used end mill bit to continue the flat spot on the axle and then cut off the excess length.

I'm really liking the brass rod in the axle for weight idea, any more info on this is or is it pretty much self explainatory?

I bought brass and a copper rod since it's heavier . The rods diameter are a snug fit inside the axle. drilled through the rods to run the axles and I milled small flats spots to screw the knuckles in after I tapped for threads.
Although I am swapping to Toyota axles and there is no room for weight inside, so I am going to make some knuckles weights and reduce wheel weight.

Started working on link mounts for the front axles. Very peculiar that the tamiya TLT shock/link mounts are a near perfect fit bolt pattern and width to mount onto the axle flat tops:)
I have driven it a few times with great results but I realize I wont drive it a lot because I wont be able to drive it without worrying of a bad fall and damage it .
Build has slowed down because of this and I am also putting together my SC and re working my 2.2 buggy and re working my Berg

Yea I think the axles will really set it off great!.
Worked on the front axle truss today so it will mimic the after market axle truss on a 1:1 except it will continue onto the passenger side. Truss will be used to attach upper links, but hidden.
I'm dying to get the front door panels and dash in there. Also tossing the idea of putting in a stereo.?
