CORR Pro-4 Truck

This is gonna be sweet!! I've been thinking of a Tmaxx front end Twin Force rear axle TT for a while. Cain't wait to see how this goes.

Just curious as to why not make a solid axle rear using a maxx diff? Are the maxx and twin force diffs/axles the same ratio?

Nice I have been planning to do a similar build. The only problem I see is your diff ratios will be different in front than rear. I'm going to use a MT2 front end and WK axles since those have the same ratios and are about the same width. The parts are pretty cheap too. I like your bottom skid plate design and how it attaches to the frame"thumbsup" I dont know how I'll mount mine yet since I want to use a existing Diaz DTrail 13.5 I have. My wheels probably wont fit underneith the tires very well but that's ok with me

I have no idea, I have not researched it any. Just thought it would look better than a clunky Maxx straight axle. If they are drastically different then I'd make it 2wd, most trophy trucks are 2wd anyway.

That brings up the question to rcmaverick, will the HPI front diff gearing match the TLT rear gearing? Or will it be close enough?

The front gearing does not match the tlt gearing, but I will be putting an RC4WD T-Rex 60 axle under the back (I have one pre-ordered). So I am hoping the RC4WD axle's ratio matches the wheely-king axle. Does anybody know what the T-Rex's ratio is supposed to be?

There is another gearing option available for the front diff that closely matches the tlt axle though. The gears out of a Nitro RS4 3 18ss are very close.

Oh, I had assumed the Rex was going to use TLT gears. I was going to say that the WK might match. I guess I don't know what gears RC4WD is using.

more, more, more!!!! i would love to have that truck!! looks like something i need to satisfy my need to bash rigs up"thumbsup"

mav

where'd you get your body from? they're currently unavailable on the new era site, and i can't find 'em elsewhere...

I bought the body from New Era about a year ago. I have emailed them asking when it would be back in stock, and they said it would be soon. But that was about a month ago, so I don't know what's up.

sweet looking build so far cant wait to see more good luck with the ratio thing (you should be able to fit mt2 gears in the rs4 housing you are using and just use a wheely king axle out back)

just a heads up, in case it will help

I was doing some digging for a future build I have planned...

the hpi wk axel uses the same diff gears as the hpi shaft drive cars/trucks (like the mt2)
