Crawler Innovations Block Comp Tire

Here are my RED fronts after a couple comps and 12 or so battery packs of testing. Can't wait until the other sides of the lugs get worn down.

I just swapped them around yesterday. New lug faces are towards the front now.

Everyone's truck, terrian and weather are different. Guess ya gotta start somewhere.
Usually the med/med setup is a good starting point for the rear. I would try the med inner/soft outer in the front. Depending on rig weight, sidehill stability, etc.

Also, are your whites belt sanded inside the tire?
The pinks are soft enough to not need internal sanding. For me, they are too soft to test until the temps drop below 60 down here in the south. Or some wet rock.

One of the two main things i have found in the different compounds is lug integrity and overall tire softness. The lug integrity between pinks and reds is really noticeable to me.

My whites are cut and sanded. I think the a medium inner and soft outer is bad for side hill. Its just gonna take some time, but I think they'll work. Pinks will be a good cold weather tire.

Got out to Vegas last week for Nationals and did some tire tests. The rock had tons of grip, like Disney with teeth. But was also super dusty alot of areas with loose gravel.
Super worn out tires were working well. Most guys were running Sedona's, boss claws, khaos or rovers.

I tested the red Blocks with medium inners, memory outers and some outer tuning rings out back, no outer rings up front but inner wheel supports. The blocks did ok but lacked the forward bite for some reason. The blocks would just spin and not bite. You could hear them working but they wouldn't grab.

I switched to the Khaos (year old tires!) setup, with my normal non-memory setup, with front inner support wheel rings. The khaos's worked awesome. They had better forward bite but could still break loose of the rocks when needed (not too much grip).

I also tested sedona's and they had a touch more forward bite than the Khaos setup. But in some cases too much grip and would slide a little more on the dusty rocks. And I didn't like the unpredictability of the sedonas with some wheel speed. They were a close second for the comp tire choice.

So, I ended up running Khaos's for Saturday's comp and switching the foams to the medium inners/ memory outers.
I added a medium inner tuning ring and a firm outer tuning ring. So, 4 layers of foam in each rear tire, kinda firm. Tires worked awesome.

My driving skills on the other hand still need some tuning. I ended up 65th! But there were a ton of good drivers and I made mistakes.
