Any recommendations for crawler tires for either 2.8 or 3.8 rims. I make my own rims so I can change the width. Currently set up with a 14" wheel base. I'm seeing some tires at 8"-8.5" tall. Didn't know if that was too tall for the wheel base. I was thinking about a 6"-6.5" tall tire.
thanks.

I answered my own question. 2.8 wheels w/Pro-Line Giant Trak, 3.2 wheels w/Imex Rubicon, 3.8 wheels w/Pro-Line Rock Rage.

are you going to make beadlocks?
and what material, aluminum, delrin, carbon fiber?

impressive.

have you seen how the new wheelss are being made?
the outer and inner rings are held apart by standoffs, either glue-ons
or beadlocks.

I haven't seen those, do you have a link?
The 2.8 beadlocks are 3 pc. modular so I can use different width tires. The 3.2's are 1 pc. w/beadlock. The 3.8's are 2 pc., outer barrel and center hub. I've been running the 3.8s with no glue, or beadlock on the Stik with no issues.
