DNA's Mantis Berg Build...

That Chassis looks great! My son (Grover) up in Wa. test run Jasons.
He also ran it in a Comp up there. He said it's a very nice working Chassis.

thanks! "thumbsup" i will be driving it today so i will see how that goes.

Betcha $5 H3RESQ(Jason) will suggest standing up the front shocks more:-P"thumbsup"
Nice looking build8)

with the steering i have on there that's about as upright as the shocks can get. which also separates the skid from the axle.

wow, that looks really nice, do they have those for sale yet?

Wow:shock: Nice work DNA.

Is there an E.T.A. on when the Mantis will be up for sale?

Pre-orders?

soon guys, the DNA crew want to make sure everything is worked out before release

Looks good, i cant wait to get mine. Let us know how it does. I was under the impression that the front axle was tucked in closer to the skid but maybe its just the camera angle. "thumbsup"

with the shocks and servo clearance issue i had to move the axle forward so the servo and shock body wouldn't hit each other.

alright i had it out yesterday and wasted no time putting it through its paces. i managed a 4th place finish at our txrcrca comp. not bad since this went straight from the build table to the comp. i had no drivetime with it and this was my first time competing with a berg. i also managed to snap a drive pin from the inner axle too. :-P it took a while to get used to this truck because i am real familiar with a sprung suspension and shafty. the

over all, with some minor changes by adding weight to the tires, adding some inner springs to the front shocks, and just plain driving it i would expect some wins.

anyway here are some action shots.

Still can't believe that you broke a shaft. :shock:8)

i wasn't expecting that to happen but the loud snap was cool..

Nice build, your gonna make me call Don and get myself one of these

Looks even better than it did at Crawlapalooza. Very Nice ,Very Nice"thumbsup"

Wow, that chassis and skid look really good. Hopefully it works as good as it looks.

thanks guys!!!! DNA has put a nice touch to this chassis. "thumbsup"

Look's great. Ideally you need to move the links back to get the belly in closer to the motor. This will allow you to use the rear hole in tail. This will give a little more flex along with taking full advantage of clearance and having a smooth motor to belly transition without the gap inbetween to hang up. The shocks could be more verticle but that's just prefrence.

Great build"thumbsup"

WOW!!! Nice job!!!
That is not just unique but seems quite functional; as all of DNA's stuff is!!!
Can't wait to get mine.

Nice build. Love the Mantis chassis.
I'd be concerned about the gap between the motor and the skid. The skid being so low could get hung up on things. Bringing the motor closer to the skid also bring tires closer. The tires would clear the obstacle before it hits the skid. Especially in climbs when you'll need to clear the ledge.

that was a concern of mine when i started to put things together. i'm just not sure if this ott steering in its current cofiguration and mantis will go together. if i move the axle up the servo will hit the shocks.
