Dodge revealed the 2015 "Worlds Fastest Sedan" today

not sure if you ever spent any time on bob is the oil guy forum.

I have. Too much time. Hence Pennzoil in the Honda. "thumbsup"

What do you mean leaks out of everywhere? As in you have oil leaks?

It's something to do with swollen seals with a certain oil, and then not swollen seals with Mobil 1, then swollen seals again after using another oil other than Mobil 1.

I've been running Mobil 1 moto full synth in my DRZ since it's second oil change, and it now has 23,000 HARD miles on it. When I tore into it to check the valves at 22,000 it was clean as a pin, and mating surfaces show very little wear. I am very meticulous about oil changes on it though. It's a shared system, so the shifter will tell you when the oil needs changed, don't give a shit what the book says, mine has never went anywhere near that long. Usually anywhere from 900-1200 miles the way they're ridden here.

New Subie has had 0W 20 (called for) Mobil 1 full synth in it since the first change at 1300 miles, and changed again at 5200 miles, every 5,000 from here on out. Subies are known to burn / blow out a little oil. My car hasn't used a drop. And while it's not abused, it's a small four banger that lives in the mountains, so it's not babied either.

my wifes Trans Am Ws6 has had the factory recomended M1 5w30 in the LS1. it has been her only car and daily driver since 2002. it now has 221,000 miles on it and has all original motor. trans had had a couple minor rebuilds, but motor is still going strong.

Honda? You put Pennzoil in your lawn mower? :lmao:

The same thing happened with my Buell. I put synthetic in it and it started leaking almost immediately. I went back to dino oil and then it leaked more. But it's POS Harley and we all know they're designed to "mark their spot".

Bad ass car! That was a dream car back then!

The "High Mileage" oils have more of that seal sweller stuff in it than not high mileage oils. And probably a good dose of molybdenum, too. Just sayin'... never used it myself.
