ESC and motor fans

I would say I still feel like things are running hot, but I haven't technically thermaled my esc or grenaded the motor yet. doesn't seem much hotter than it does after a long bash on 2s. Im still running RTR Motor and ESC.

My friend can get 20 minutes run time in SoCal heat with bone stock electronics on 3s. BUT with 3s you CANNOT crawl, only high speed bashing which I'm assuming is what you want if you are considering 3s. The fans should help but it probably wont do much, run it as hard as you usually would for ~10 minutes and check the temp, if it's ok run for another 10 and so on. Just make sure you DO NOT go over 180*f, that is the absolute max it really shouldn't go over 160

crawling definitely heats up the motor and ESC.....more so the ESC. My last crawling session I had just the motor fan installed and the motor was actually pretty cool. The ESC, though, was pretty warm to touch. Lucky for my Yeti I broke my rear truss, costing me a mounting point for my upper rear links.
