Badger, open that box and post some pics dangit. "thumbsup" UPS is taking holiday for Independence Day except for UPS Critical Express packages....so that means you've had that since at least yesterday....get to it man.

UPS: Holiday Schedule, UPS Closed Days, U.S. Days of Operation

Not 100% accurate. I know a guy who knows a guy who hooked me up and had the Yeti delivered tomorrow afternoon. Here's a picture from one of my security cams with the date & timestamp on it.

Hi guys, on another note, - I was reading that the factory setting for the new Yeti is for SPEED. If you wish to switch this to "crawler" mode, you'll have to order a new gear and switch that out ? is this basically true ?

I have just put the new Yeti on pre-order and now am wondering if I need to order some sort of "crawler" kit, as I really want this for crawling and not speed.

Thanks for any info

Why anyone would want to Crawl with a 'Yeti' is beyond me. Axial really dropped a clanger with this one. What they should have built is an SCX or XR width rig then it would have actually been useable.
But who in there right mind is going to want to crawl a 12.3'' rig through 13'' width gates they must need there head read!!!

But as what seems to be the norm these days the New Yeti is a recycled rig cobbled together with old parts from the parts bins!

This rig will be 100% usable for its intended racing class of Ultra 4. Axial simply built the rig that everyone was already cobbling together out of multiple kits and made it better with more refinement and a user friendly design.

I hope ultra 4 racing picks up around hear ..i know some local tracks that might let us run on the track..but it's not going to be a pure rock race track.. I might have to start making one...

I'm digging the HIC sticker on your truck window...
Easily my favorite surf brand.
Now I am craving more Haleiwa time.

Jerk!

Where as if they had done the job properly it would have been useable for both 'Ultra 4' and Crawling!!

Oh you mean like the wraith... :flipoff:

I'm sure the yeti will crawl just fine. If you want something smaller that is ifs with a tube chassis and a solid rear axle I suggest you look into one of the many turd hammers in the classified section. There is an abundance of them popping up lately as the yeti draws closer to market.

Last time I looked the Wraith wasn't a Crawler either ;-)

I'm sure the Yet would crawl just fine given a few tweaks"thumbsup"

If you want something to crawl and run in ultra 4 you won't be running narrow axles. Besides have you looked around and noticed the trend of running AR60's with high backspaced wheels lately? Dee lux and others have proven they are a superior choice, their width is a non issue. With a few tweaks the wraith is a fantastic crawler.
