Re: Exclusive review of the Axial YETI AX90026

Awesome thanks, I'll check that out more in depth Tomorow. The reason I ask is to gain some insight into the inevitable question that has been asked about a comparo. Since you are one of few who have hands on experience with both vehicles, and I'm sure you've put your hammer through similar treatment so the two threads should answer that comparison.

Maybe information between the two thread will help those who want to compare.
"thumbsup"

Re: Exclusive review of the Axial YETI AX90026

I'm following the news and technical information of this new Axial Yeti,
and do not understand why Axial it has not yet entered into your website a page dedicated to him.... :???:

In addition to this, in my opinion Yeti is a nice vehicle, but not absolutely comparable to the Twin Hammers,
the dimensions are completely different.
I believe that in your sales market, the United States, will have a good success,
instead you will not find many fans in Europe, because of the excessive size, as has happened with the Wraith.

In my eye's the yeti looks to be what the twin hammers should have been, the TH always felt a bit of the wrong scale when crawling with other people. Plus its not quite fast enough and its not quite slow enough and i keep breaking CV pins grr.

As for the comment on the wraith, io know loads of UK people with Wraiths and we all love them, i certainly love mine, as i do my SCX's and my gelande and for that matter my exo.

Most probably the new Yeti will be more robust than the TH, and the ratio of 1:10
with respect to a vehicle Ultra 4 more righteous than that of the Twin,
but if we look at the size of the permanent tracks, at least those in Italy,
with a Wraith or a Yeti between the ports of passage race scaler 12 inches wide ....

Re: Axial YETI - Exclusive review, pictures & video

So I have seen the Yeti in sand and dirt but yet to see it attack the rocks as a rock racer. Got any videos of that, its the only thing holding me back from getting one.

Maybe you should check out the wraith forum and look at the picture archive thread, theirs alot of wraiths from Europe.

Re: Axial YETI - Exclusive review, pictures & video

Axial hasn't announced a kit (yet). I don't think they will announce one (if they do) until after the RTR has been out for a while.

I hope they wil, they have announced a kit of every car they have. I will not buy it before it is a kit awalable. I am going to use the yeti as a crawler as well as a basher, therfore I need a sensored motor. I do not like to pay alot for electronics I'm not going to use, pluss I probably will take it apart anyway.

I always crack up over the "kit only" comments. Pull the components you don't use, sell them and you have a complete roller for $200 or less. Much less than what you'll wind up paying for a kit. Do you take electronic components out of rtr's and just throw them away??

I usually pick up the rtr because the kits price usually aren't much different then the rtr price. Then I sell off the radio servo, esc and motor for $100-$150 and get the roller for less than the kit.

I always crack up at the "just buy the rtr & sell whats left" comments from people that don't have to pay international freight on a huge rtr box compared to the smaller kit box & that also don't consider there may not be much market for rtr take-out parts in that international location.

For some of us, the build is 1/2 the fun.

Hi guys, does anyone know the actual diameter of the tires ? I'm wondering if they are larger than the Axial Wraith ? I have Google for about 15 minutes and can't find any info on how large they are. Thanks for any info.
