favorite lipo charger

What does everyone think of the Traxxas 2S Battery/Dual iD Charger Completer Pack with the 2 7600MAH 2s LIPO 25C batteries.
I am running TRAXXAS ID batts all ready so I am thinking of just dropping the coin and getting this since it seems to do every conceivable type of battery NIMH any cell - 2S/3S LIPO, dual charge ports and can handle NIMH and LIPO at the same time...whatever you got and i have a lot of traxxas NIMH all ready.
Any issues switching between LIPO and NIMH on the same ESC?

I have a Hitec X4. Easy to use interface, 10 amp/channel for four lipos, and I like the app - you can easily set up each channel from your phone over wifi and keep track of the charging. Obviously not as powerful as iChargers or others with external power supply.

Update: the Hitec X4 has stopped functioning. I've had it only since the beginning of March. Over the last week, I hooked up maybe 6 batteries to it at different times, and they seemed to charge. When I went to use them, they were uncharged (I confirmed this with a battery meter). Now, the Hitec won't even recognize any new batteries on any of it's four charging ports. Fortunately, Amazon is accepting a return, and I'm going to try the Dynamite 4x100 watt charger for about $30 more than the Hitec (unless someone knows why I shouldn't).

I'ts ok, but you can buy better charger for less and make or buy your own Traxxas ID plug harness. Swithcing between lipo and nimh on same esc, make sure you set it for proper battery type every time.

I started with a Kinexsis KX80 made by Horizon, it was recommended by the LHS when I got back into the hobby about 1.5 years ago. For $50 it has all the features as the other chargers in the $80-100 range (balance, lipo discharge, etc). I am thinking about ordering a second one so I can have one in the storage box with each truck.

Same here, haven't had a single problem with mine and it has all the features I need for a very fair price.

Team Orion Clubman Lipo Edition.

Simple to use, charges at a decent rate, all the features I could ask for and cheap! (Paid 45 I think). Designed to work off a car battery which is great for when I'm out, otherwise it's hooked up to my hacked variable output PC power supply. Also has modes for storage, discharge. I've been using mine for 3 years and have yet to find a reason to replace it.

iCharger 308Duo is great though it needs a separate PSU. It can charge a lot of packs simultaneously. I think I've charged 6 4400 6S packs and another 6 smaller packs at the same time.

Thanks I'll check it out. I neglected to mention that since I have 3 trucks running simultaneously most of the time, I need a charger that can charge multiple batteries at once.

I've had Nothing but problems with my traxxas charger. I've ruined 300$ in batteries with it, they eventually just stopped charging. Charger shows an Error, and a few of the packs, even though they were ID batteries and I balance charge every time, puffed.

My venom pro duo should be here this afternoon. Can't wait.

iChargers are great. I really liked my 106B but when I decided to upgrade, I went with the Hitec X4 AC Pro instead so I didn't have to lug around a power supply.

I like the Hitec so far. Being able to charge 2 5000mah 3S packs at 10 amps each at the same time is awesome. I can only do that when hooked up to DC, but it will charge at 4 amps each while on AC, which is fine. Usually if I'm using AC I'm not in a hurry anyway.

I've had my Hyperion EOS 0606i for over ten years its charged thousands of packs and brought hundreds back from near death. Small compact and high quality not an inexpensive charger but one that will last and perform perfectly for years and years. "thumbsup"

Hello,

First, this is coming from someone who just started recently using LiPo’s, (within the last 6 months) so my knowledge is limited.

I bought a Hitech RDX1 charger and I have had zero problems/complaints with it so far.

RDX1 AC/DC Battery Charger/Discharger | HITEC RCD USA

As a first LiPo charger it was easy for me to find my way around the menu’s. If I “was forced” to complain, it would be the cooling fan is a little loud. The small “footprint” is a plus for me as my space is limited where I charge my batteries.

I recently won an auction for 2 Dynamite 200W Ultraforce chargers, "not working, as-is". They both had blew internal fuses because the mains shorted to the case. Total cost: $15 and some soldering!

Even if I didn't get them dirt cheap, I'd definitely never get a sub-200w charger ever again. I can charge my 4S batteries at a full 10A! They also have discharge, storage, and fast charge modes - the later forgoing the final low-amp trickle. If I had to buy another charger, I'd certainly buy a 250W Reactor or Antimatter (DC power isn't a prob).

Similar to the OP I too was new to lipo's. I really trust my LHS owner and asked his advice on what charger to buy. I told him I wanted a good quality charger that would do everything I need now, and in the future. Now granted he doesn't stock all makes and models. However he showed me two different brands, but recommended the Dynamite Prophet sport quad. That's what I bought, and I am very happy with it.
