You can catch the first part of my build up here...
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=145846

So, after getting done with this build and hitting the trails, I knew I was not done. So, here we go again!
Like a dumb ass, I cracked the body after the first run, and decided that I was going to go a new route when I got it fixed. I also want to be water proof, not that there is any water hazards out here in NM... but what the hell. So this is what I have thus far...

Body off, and sanded down. no bumpers or running boards... Got something new in mind..

I also now have a functional hood!

I am going to be building a water proof box to place all my electronice under the hood. Should be very trick when done..

Roof rack done!

I have a ton of plans for this second round of my build.. But I will keep everyone in suspense until I get more going. For now I am off to get some primer and pant, so I can get going on the body!"thumbsup"

NICE !!! Lovin the chopin and cuttin. Great Custom work too...One Question, How did you crack that body???? I have the same one and rolled it several times down a steep rock face (Must have done 20 endos) and only a few scratches...I was just thinking how this is a tough body...but perhaps not..must have been one solid hit.

Dude, you should continue on your other thread. You know the one you abbandoned in a dark alley. Just kidding bro do what ever you think is right. I like your JK. Should get some pics of mine up soon.

It had to be a combo of things that made it crack. It was only like 35 out, and I was wheelin' on some hard sand stone. I rolled endo down a pretty steep incline. The cold weather and hitting just right must of craked it. But hey, if I didn't do that, it would not of given me a reason to rebuild it!!!

Got some more work done over the last few days. got the body finished up. Turns out you have to be careful when using clear coat on your paint. If there is ANY cracks in the paint, IE where it pulled back with the tape you you happened to miss it... it make it look all cool and bubbly like. O-well.. live and learn and repeat. Here are some pics of where I am right now... Trying to get it done or close to done before this weekends comp.

Anyhow.. on to the pics..

I went with the factory Sunburst Oranage Pearl for the color this time. There are so many red, silver, black, green JK's out there. I wanted something different.

Anyhow.. Back to the work bench. Still got lots more to due. Fenders, Sliders, Lights, Inner fennders...... and the list keeps getting longer! "thumbsup"

Nice color choice! My last JK was that exact same color, but 51WillysJeep has it now. Very cool nonetheless. "thumbsup"

Hood still functions... But as far as the hemi.... Hmmm.. How am I going to fit that in there. :) how about a water tight electronics box instead?

Got a bit more work done! I pretty damn happy with the out come thus far! I have to admit it doesn't look like your average JK out of the newbright box.

Anyhow, here is a list of what I got done:
Electronics reinstalled.
LED lights in. Working headlights, fog lights, and tail lights. "thumbsup"
Roof rack install.
some touch-ups. ( I some how managed to FUBR my grill. but when I get a winch on, you will never see my mistake )
Spare tire installed.

Going to take it to my comp in the morning and try to get some action shots... but for now... here is some poser shots.

Still got more work to due. Looks like I am going to need to figure out a way to latch my hood down. Got some rock sliders in the mix as well as a light bar.
I think I might replace the motor as well. Right now the 55t seems a bit slow.. Think I might go to a 45t or a 35t. Any thoughts?

Motor

35T Tekin handwound and FXR is the way to go. My boyfriend is running that setup in his SCX10 TR Truggy and really likes it. Crawls well, but also has good wheel speed.
