So I had an idea of making a flex shaft (or have one made more so then making one) for the rear so one can run high clearance links like on the MOA's.... I found a website that can build a Uni-directional, any diameter and any end fittings, the shaft is cased in a steel braided line. Torque ratings up to 100 ft lbs.

what happens when you go in reverse?

The ones I'm playing with don't seem to mind to much. I have 1 that is a larger diameter and it doesn't do anything odd. My problem Im trying to overcome is the actual spring of the shaft itself is changing the way the suspension works. The other one is small diameter and I have most of it captured inside a housing to reduce flex and pushing itself apart. With the reduction happening inside the axle on the losi it seems to not be all that big of a deal. I doubt it would work on a non worm axle though. Along the same thought line a carrier bearing and 2 shafts seem to work almost just as well but have a little more slop. You will see some form of this on my new Losi very soon once I get a couple more parts in the mail

I would be very interested into seeing some pics, where did you get your shaft from. My thoughts were a small diameter shaft, some where in the 250 rang.... I figured that it may cause the suspension to load and unload. I'm really curious as to what you come up with in your finished design.

TCB's monster Losi works well. No issues when reversing from what I have seen. He had to muck around with the pinion angle a bit, to run properly.
