I see all these cool rigs with interiors but how are ya'll puttin a floor down if the motor sits where the cab is? Are ya'll movin the motor buildin round it? just putin a seat in? How does that all attach? I have the chair and driver and copilot shoot even made a floor board while waitin for it to arrive but then I see the motor and trans sits in the way.

use a transfer case or build the interior around the motor and transmission. im working on a lr3 and managed to hide most of the motor and transmission inside the seats. ill post some pictures later if i remember:ror:

that's cool but my motor sits high and it would't look like a reg transmission tunnel. My transmission and motor sit right in thr emiddle of the cab.

hope this helps. i hid most of the motor and transmission under the seats. and a little styrene will help make it look better. im still working on this so its kinda rough but you get the idea

This all helps a ton, now I see how ya'll are doin it. I was wonderin when ya said seats. Ingenious ideas right there. Reckon it's time for me to get some styrene "thumbsup"

The easiest way to do it is simply to add a massive tunnel/armrest.
Not the most realistic, but it allows a full-size action figure instead of needing to chop one in half because the floor is higher than it should be.

In my case I am using a 4-runner body, so I built one piece with fenderwells and the interior

Any more cool pics for ideas? These are great helpin me figure out which way to try. Waitin on styrene to get here. Went to the hobby shop here on base and asked if they had any and got the response: "what's styrene?"
:lmao:

try industrial plastic shops or achitectural (sp?) shops that sell supplies for building plastic models of building projects.

How do you figure out the proper height for the seats? It's a pain to get the measurement right with the body on and trimmin little by little isn't gettin me any where.

If you mean how high the seat backs should be I first based it on the size of my driver figure, then made the shape out of a chunk of scrap styrofoam to check clearance with the body on.

Another option is to run the RC4WD R2 tranny. It removes the spur from the picture and is enclosed, giving you more options to mount the body lower and use an interior.

hmm movin everything lower. May have to try that when current parts start actin up. I think I may have got fingered out. Duke you ready to drive. :lmao:
