Frostman
Pebble Pounder
I am a newb to the scaler/crawler world. And I have been ghosting around here for a couple months while I figured out what I wanted to do with my Wraith kit. I have enough fast brushless RC's (TT MT4 G3, Savage XS SS, Slash 2wd), so I wanted to go in the opposite direction. IE: A low, slow, crawler/scaler. I just got done building it this week, and after a little messing around running it I really like how it drives.
Here is what I have done so far:
Axial Wraith "Rock Punisher"
Electronics:
Holmes Torquemaster Pro 35T
Holmes BR-XL ESC
Flysky FS-GT3B
Solar D772 w/ clamp on metal horn
Axial Light Kit
Sky 3S 4400mah 30c Lipo
Tranny:
RR Steel Idler
RR Steel Diff locker Gear
32P 60T Kimbrough Spur
32P 9T RR Pinion
Chassis and Suspension:
CKRC Suspension Lowering Kit
CKRC Front Battery Tray (modified)
CKRC Hood Hinge Kit
Traxxas Rustler Battery Holder Posts for hood posts
RC4wd Steering Kit
STRC Shock Caps (Orange)
30wt oil in the shocks with 3 larger hole pistons and .9lb springs
Misc:
Radio Shack project box mounted in rear for RX and light controller
This is what I have so far. There are so many parts and options for these trucks. It can be a bit overwhelming on the mind and the pocketbook. I figure I will add a few things on every month with my RC fund as I break stuff or just to upgrade.
Feel free to let me know what you think. Like I said, this is new ground for me, and I know many of you have tons of experience after reading threads on here for a while.
