full exo mounting?

how are people removing the body when they have a full exo cage?

Usually the cage comes off, and then the body is removed... or they are removed together.

Bolts maybe? Are you making a complete tube chassis or just a cage? If you have some kind of chassis under the body, just make mounting plates on some of the cage parts and bolt it on.

You're making this seem like it's harder than it really is.

writing didnt come out big. anyway it just says that the cage is red, ride rails black. braze some 3mm threaded rod into the cage and drill a hole into the siders and the cage can be bolted onto the side rails?

It all depends on what you have to work with. Post up a pic of your rig & I'll try to help you.

I built an EXO for my green Yota Truggy and used the rigidity of the steel to keep it in place along with some pins going into the ends of the EXO tubing.

An idea I had years ago(yes I've been doing this awhile) was to tap,weld or braze some of the RC10 4-40 screws( with the hole in them for a body clip)into the end of the EXo tube and then have a plate with a hole the size of the screw head that it will fall into then just clip it. The weight of the rig when upside down will sit on the plate and the shoulder (end of the tube) Depending on your set up it could work.

thanks. gopt another though i think what your trying to say is drill a tiny hole for a body lift ot fit in. and insted of bolts use a body clip?

the two exo's I built were done so the body was attached to the exo and then the exo was bolted to the chassis that way the body was hung on the inside of the frame.

looking at the pic here, is the slide a hollow tube the whole way?

maybe run the ends (legs) of the cage past the ends of the slider tube,
drill holes in the ends of the cage legs so a piece of allthread (or long bolt) can be slid through the front leg, through the slider tube, and through the rear leg. a lock nut on each end (or one if long bolt) would retain it, and only one lock nut per side would have to be taken off to slide the allthread out for easy access.
