Futaba 4PL Setup, Tips, Tricks & Help

I understand, but now I do not have enough money for something else.

Sure I have two new Tekin-fxr but rather put them in another project.

Thank you.

hi All,
I'm encountering an issue on my Berg, dual esc works very good and suddenly it fails : my 'neutral point' where both axles turn at the same speed has been moved to '-50' dual esc mixing point.
When I'm at 0 dual esc mixing point the front wheels turn much more than the rear and to find the neutral dual esc mixing rate I have to go to -50.
I'm running 2 tekin fxr, I have reseted my radio settings, calibrated my fxr each after each, program the dual esc setting on the radio : always the same trouble  (I have to trim on throttle chanel too)

Do you see a solution to my issue?

thanks

That's likely beyond the radio. Tear down your motor and check the brushes and comm. check all the solder connections, a weak joint can cause mayhem.

Hey Harley,
I recently acquired a 4PL. What do you recommend for a rechargeable battery to put in the transmitter?

Thanks!

Look for one for the 4PK, they seem easier to find.

No kidding, Harley has saved Futaba customer service many hours .

Why is this not a Sticky?! I refer to this thread all the time, thanks Harley!

Sorry I missed this! As Bob just said, any 4PK pack will work. I actually just have two stock packs and rotate them out as needed. They last me long enough that I don't worry about it. The plus with other packs though is that they are often lighter.

I finally sprang for the Hobbico 2S 1900mah LiFe pack. It seems to work well and it is a whole 20 grams less than the dry cell holder and four NiMH 2200mah cells. Good news is that it is closer to the 6V of four AA Alkys than the four NiMH (4.8V nominal but usually 5.1 to 5.3V).

One of our club members has had his since last November and it seems to be a perfect match.

Ok, I have looked in threads for a while now, and tried going through this one with no luck. I'm sure somewhere in here it's been covered, but I'm trying to set a winch up on my scaler, I hooked everything up and plugged the winch into ch3. When I do this it just runs in one direction until I hit the button lowest on the handle then it goes the other direction. There is no neutral! I really hate it on that button anyways, it hard for me to push it. What do I need to do to set it up on dt3 or dt4. I have slot 3,4,5 available on my r2106gf reciever to use for the winch. In the future I will be adding rear steer as well. For now I just need help getting my winch to work properly!"thumbsup"

The first post of this thread cover this. It's just a 3 position switch.

Dang, I glanced through that before, and it didn't click for me. Now that I went back, I went through and set it up and it works perfect! Thank you for your fast response. You really do an excellent job helping everyone on this thread. Maybe I will get to meet you at crawlapalooza, and thank you for your help in person"thumbsup"

Yep, kinda like the Axial dig on the Wraith, except I used channel 4 and the SW2 switch. For the dig unit I needed a 3 position switch, low, center (0), and high.
