Ouch...

I hooked up a Hitek 645 MG servo and BRXL to a Futaba 2PH receiver, the BRXL and 3s Lipo started somking. I'm pretty sure I'm screwed. I had the + end of the Servo and ESC plug, plugged into the right side of the receiver. I think I might have had it backwards.

Is it black or red that goes on the right of the Futaba Receiver, the connectors for the servo and ESC are not keyed?

That should not have caused problems like that. I have plugged them in backward before and they simply did not respond.

On Futaba receivers, the orange or white wire should be toward the notch.

I emailed HH about the BRXL, hopefully they can have a new one out soon. I took my rig up to Mikes Hobby. They tested the battery and confirmed that one of the cells on the Lipo is dead. Going to pick up some new Lipos from hobbyking.

So red wire goes towards the nothch, I had them backwards. Hopefully HH will take care of me.

Thanks again J.H!!

Well, the red should be in the middle......the white or orange (depending on what you are using) should go toward the notch. However, having them backward should still have not caused you any troubles....

Don't know, maybe both units were bad. We (me & tech that wired up the dean plugs) verified that the motors are wired correctly (+ to + and - to -). Only thing that we could find wrong (which you verified ) was the plugs for the receiver, were plugged in backwards.

I'm going to have them/Miles hobby install the new BRXL and battery. I'm afraid to touch anything.
