Good Lipo?

Is this is a good lipo for a stock Traxxas Summit?

I asked the same question on another forum and was told to get the 8200mah lipos from SPC. I am after more run time on the battery and the 8200mah gives me that. the guys on the other forum indicate 2 hour run time crawling and 1 to 11/2 hrs bashing. The C value is the rate at which the batery can discharge power. With a Summit you do not need the 65 C in a stock configuration, It is not going to run any faster but could tear the truck up. I heard from Tom at SPC and they should have a delivery mid march of the 8200mah. So ive decided to wait and get the 8200mah, plus they are $15 a piece less money.

Will the lipos increase speed or just run time?

Both, you will get a little more speed with a 2s not ALOT faster but a little and also increased run time, if you looking for speed go brushless. I always run lipo in all my RC weather it be a crawler or a 70+ mph truggy. IMO lipos are worth the $ just my 2 cents.

I have the turnigy nanotech 7600 and in crawling I get 1 1/2 hour in run time, and bashing I get about 50 minutes. For 48$ each I think they are a very good choise. Check it out at hobbyking.

If you can afford them these about the best packs you can get. I can get over 2 hours crawling over and hour bashing and they bump the top speed of the truck up a noticeable amount.
