I think we're asking for trouble if we let the refugees in. Obviously it sucks for the ones who are truly fleeing, but better safe than sorry. Screening them can only do so much, if a terrorist has an up til entry clear record, of course no flags will go up...it's a shity situation, but not worth the risk to me. Not to mention we can't even take care of our own citizens.

I think we are asking for trouble if we don't give these people a place to go. 99% of them are not extremists and terrorists. However if they are not helped they will be so desperate and angry that good people will turn to extremism. Long standing refugee camps could be prime recuitement sites for ISIS. I don't know what the answer is but turning our back on our fellow man is not the answer. We are blessed to be born in a Countries as great as USA and Canada. Alot of those people are good people just trying to live their lives. I saw an acticle of children sleeping in refugee camps. They were literally sleeping outside in tall grass with all the bugs, cold and s*#t. It was totally depressing. I couldn't imagine my kids like that. I broke my heart. They are just innocent kids stuck in the depths of dispare, and none of it has to do with them. You can't just do nothing. idk

The best answer would have been given by the dead 129 from France.
But the answer seems simple. Those refugees can be given an isolated place to live with all necessary facilities until the war is over. But then refugees cost resources.
We all know 99% of them are not extremist or terrorist, but that 1% is enough to cause disturbance and specially with USA, they will do anything to get in.
Prevention is better than cure.

Thats the problem when religious war breaks out. It goes on for generations and does not seem to end.
Those refugee kids have already developed a character, thanks to their desperate situation. It is highly possible that some of them will grow up and take the wrong path.
They will start growing ...then learning....earning...then they will get on the internet and research the whole war....somewhere something from the war will give them a strong motive and will amplify suppressed feelings....that will be the turning point.
Remember jihadi john. His father molded his psycology. He had everything in life before walking the wrong path.

So you want them all shipped to live in your neighborhood then? Sounds great to me, you syrup suckers can have every last one of them so long as they aren't allowed across the border into the US behind the wheel of a semi or otherwise.
Everything is for the children isn't it? I don't like seeing kids in distress or terrible conditions either but I like seeing dead bodies of innocent civilians caught up in some jihad bullshit even less.

Might be alot of dumb new users but theres some serious "knowitalls" in here so I think it all evens out.
Personally, I believe that those that think that we should house all these people dont really comprehend why exactly our country is worth protecting. Not that I am against refugees. We must take them. I am against letting radicals posing as refugees into our country. It also bothers me when dudes with zero children want to give input on situations where national security is at risk. Childless individuals are selfish and think only of themselves. Men are the worst because we have the ability to protect ourselves anywhere any time. Not in a bad way... we were all childless at one time. Having kids changes your perspective on ALOT of issues. Have a kid and poof! All of a sudden the national debt is a problem and you want it fixed...not let it get worse. All of a sudden giving a bunch of syrian refugees pretty much guaranteed to have some jihadis...doesnt sound like such a good idea. Alot of liberals have the mentality "it wont happen to me" because they have been insulated by the greatest country on this planet. Even I know the jihadis wont get me where I live.... I already have sympathy for the victims of future jihadi attacks here in the USA.
I hate to use the term liberals, but I guess thats what they are. The masses of liberals want to cry about minimum wage...just wait until we have another attack on our soil...they will be lucky to even have a job. I dont know why an American would want their own country destabilized even though the positions they took will lead to it. I am sure the good refugees will work hard and get educated (they didnt grow up a coddled american) and leave the minimum wage jobs to those bleeding heart liberals.
Being conservative is an Ideology. Being Liberal is an Ideology. Being Christian is an Ideology. Being muslim is an ideology. Being a jihadi is an ideology. Somehow the Liberals cant get along with the christian conservatives yet they believe they can get along with muslim jihadis? Muslims and extremist ones at that dont recognize law or government and certainly dont respect the coddled American liberals.
This is not really about refugees. We know ISIS cells are already within. This is about protecting our country and our way of life. Our current Administration in this country doesnt want to fan the fire....yet is willing to allow it to spread. Obama knows the ripples of American force will cause more radical islam...like trying to put out a fire with gasoline. Smart maybe but there is no control or leadership. Calming the waters and tolerating Terrorism is not a plan.
Liberals hate conservatives....yet we understand each other. We work together. We live together. Try to do that with muslim radicals. They want to kill you and your family. Right now ISIS is provoking everyone. Why? Because they are trying to scale up in terms of recruiting. They dont want 1k per week. They want 50k. They are trying to provoke a holy war.
