I will not be going. It's my final decision. I've slept for the last ~3 hours, and I still don't feel well, and no way would I make it in time to ride down with TC, AdamF, et al.
I'm a little disappointed in myself, as I also dedicated time to build the Stick to kick everyone's ass.
There's always next time, I hope.

Cory, who can't wait to feel like shit on Sunday, realizing what I'm missing.

OK, I am gonna sound like a school girl BUT...........we're going to go ahead and make the trip. Would be true torment for me to stay here while all you guys are having fun and hanging out. So, we're planning on heading out from St.Louis about 9-10am and should be into Morgantown by 2-3pm in the afternoon. From my front door to the Motel 6 is only 4 hours according to MapQuest and I think those estimates (time) are at 55-60mph. We'll be rolling 70-79mph ;-). Dunno how we'll find anyone as by the time we get there I think some will be down checking out the crawl location. We'll see. JIA said cell phones don't work so pretty good there once through Bowling Green, however I'll try calling him when we get close, see where ya'll are at.

Okey doke, off I go to round up the goods. Gotta fuel the big truck for the trip and hit the bank and then we'll be on da road.

Damn, if you don't stay up with this thread it takes forever to catch back up.

I was back on 47 or 48 reading about everyone not coming and started feeling like shit. then saw were Jason posted he wasen't coming and then i was getting Pissed. then i scrolled down at the end of his post and saw that everyone was joking. lMAO. Didn't realize today was April 1st. Well i am glad to see everyone is still coming. Even if the water is up alittle there are still places to crawl.

And yes thanks to Golfland USA www.golflandusa.net my LHS here in Owensboro, Ky for donating some prizes to give away at the event.

:-x My wife has known about this trip for weeks. I've reminded her about it everyday this week. Well today I was out of town for the entire day and didn't get home until 8:30pm. When I get home she tells me she traded shifts with someone and has to work 12-4 on Sunday. WHAT? Uh, hun, that's the r/c rock crawl I've been building those trucks for... "Oh, that's this Sunday?" :roll:

So now I have to see if my sister can watch my six year old daughter or I'll have to bring her with me. That would mean that I would only get to run once.

I did get the prototype 'Pede tranny plates for the Penguin R/C P2300 chassis, so that is the rig I'll be bringing down if I can get these damn 'Pede sliders together! :evil: I've already broken two yokes trying to insert the u-joint ball.

No April Fools, and not a good day.

Time for SLEEP. Is midnite here and I THINK I've got everything together. Both trucks are ready to roll, good as we get for now. Gathered up all the assorted support equipment like chargers, batts, radio (s), digi-cam and it's charger, tool box, etc. etc. Was gonna load it tonite but am out of energy so will chuck it all in the back of the truck in the morning. Hope the weather stays nice down there and the river starts to go back down ;-).

Thanks Rockcrawler! I'm really having a hard time with those little 'Pede axles and the Maxx/Revo sliders don't fit the Penguin R/C prototype plates.

My wife is going to try to trade shifts and visit my sister (she's in Hop'town) with my daughter.

Here are the latest updates right now. It is 2:15 Sat. Afternoon. I just got off the phone with Syco133 (JB). He just left GR and the water is down pretty good and will keep going down. There are plenty of rocks for some good crawling courses. And it will be even better tomorrow. Jason, twistedcreations, CSR, highmark, syco133 and others are all there. They have been playing around some and taking some video footage. They mounted up a cam on TC's rig and took some video. So everyone keep coming. It is going to be awsome towmorrow.

All the rain is gone. It is pretty windy today and the temp is in the mid 50's and cloudy. The sun is popping in and out.

Tomorrow though the wind is suspose to die down and be sunny with the high around 63. So tomorrow we should have some great weather for crawling.

I wish i was out there today playing. But i will see everyone in the morning.

I had to leave early, but I wanted to say that it was great to meet everyone and I had a great time even though a technicality with a missing bushing kept me from being able to run my P2300. I'm already tracking down the offending part so I'll be ready for the next comp! I'll have my TCS chassis by then too.

When is the next crawl in Owensboro?

Crawling around on the rocks all day does that too you, I had a blast though-it was an awesome event from my perspective. I just hope everyone had as much fun as I did!
