I rammed two DX3E's into one case.
The GT3C batteries have built in discharge protection. The battery voltage display and low voltage warning is so you have warning before the battery just disconnects from the radio. You won't harm any part of the radio by over discharging. But may get unexpected shut off if cal'd wrong
As long as it's new stock, the power switch issue should be fixed.
Awesome thanks. I left it to charge and set it to 4.2v, when I checked it after it was 4.15 so close enough. Set the warning to 3.2v as I'd like a bit of a heads-up and to cover any difference in the calibration vs real pack power.
Tempting to put in a larger battery and dedicated charging port but I will see what kind of life I get out of it first.
