Harley's TCS X-Trail

Hmm..

It Looks like a cool chassis and I always wanted to build a scaler I think I'll buy one:mrgreen: Hope it works out:roll:

UH..... you might wanna look at the scx chassis. Better and comes with more stuff for not much more. The scx was based from the x-trail.

one nice thing about the x-trail compared to the scx-10 is the x-trail shock towers are part of the chassis, the scx-10 has bolt on plastic shock towers and are prone to breakage.

Both are great chassis for a scaler/ trail rig"thumbsup"

Not sure if that's true, but thanks for the compliment! :)

I'm pretty sure it was... they saw the need for it and built it in kit form. And you're welcome lol

Frame rail towers aren't always nice but yes sometimes they are... you could say they have they're ups and downs!

How much better? I've been reading the x-trail has lots of rear-axle steer when flexing, does the SCX chassis not do this?

Yeah, from what I have read, the X-trail is more for rock crawling or scale crawlers, with lots more flex. The SCX seems to be more for regular scale trucks with some flex but more for "trail" riding. I'd rather have the X-trail with the AX-10 hardware for a "flexy" scale rock crawler! Does anyone know if the new XR-10 will work with the X-trail chassis. If so, how does it perform....I'm thinking an even more "flexy" scaler?

Like i said, this is only what I've gathered from reading info. I don't have any first hand knowledge. Can someone confirm?

I have 2 x-trail rigs and both perform great. I think if you put spacers in the right place you don't get any flex out of the x-trail. I haven't owned an scx10 chassis but I have drove a few and my thoughts are I wouldn't switch from my x-trails to an scx10. I would like to build a leaf sprung rig using the scx10 chassis eventually.

I'm interested in suspension flex, not flex in the chassis.
