LEAF SPRINGS

What is so new about leaf springs?!?!?!?!?

NO SHACKLES NEEDED!!!!!!

These innovative leaf springs bolt on to your X-Trail scale chassis with only one hole needing to be drilled per leaf. The front and rear eye of the leaf spring ride on aluminum bushings that help aid the sliding motion. The rear slot takes the place of a traditional shackle. By eliminating the shackle we will be able to offer you a complete leaf spring kit for a VERY affordable price. Patent paper work is in the works.

The leaf springs are designed to give you an 11" Wheelbase
(you hear that K9?)

The wheelbase can be stretched a little from there but the optimal maximum setup is 11".

We will be offering these in several different thicknesses, prototype testers will be available very soon on www.tcscrawlers.com

I will post a link to them as soon as they are up on the site.

I will also get my rig posted up here shortly!

Sweet! Will these springs work with other chassis's that are out there? I see TCS makin lots of money on this if they can keep them in stock. also, What type of lights will the light rack use? Will this be offered as a kit with everything needed?

I have not tried them on an other chassis'. They bolt right to the mounts on top of the Axial axles, so depending on chassis width they may or may not bolt up to others. The front spring has a similar arch to a Bruiser spring while the rear has a similar arch to a Jugg spring. I did not design these with any other chassis' in mind, I just wanted to make it super simple to install onto an X-Trail.

also, What type of lights will the light rack use? Will this be offered as a kit with everything needed?

I actually designed two different versions of the light rack. One uses a light that is bought a Walgreens and one uses a light that is bought at Walmart. These light racks will probably be done in a limited run (I mostly just wanted them for me but Kevin wants people to be able to have them if they want :flipoff:). I also need to give props to Englwd for the inspiration of the light rack, he used a very similar concept in his "Wack Job" build. Just wanted to give credit where its due :D

that looks great"thumbsup"
are the leafs derlin? do you have to use shocks?

Ohhhhhh Ahhhhhh , I want some of those leafs , I would build another truck just to try them out , something custom though , I dont have an X-trail chassis. I have a hummer body comin 1/12 scale , or a clod body , I been wanting to get one anyway.

Yes the leafs are CNC cut from Delrin. I currently do not have shocks on my build, however I did order some shocks that have not arrived yet.

Another thing you can do to help performance is run an Anti-wrap bar. I have not played with this idea yet, but I would imagine that the boomerang/4-link servo mount would work perfectly. I may be waiting to use the Axial version of the Dinky Link made by Muddauber7 from Dinky R/C however.
