Pulled a rod end out was all.

Someone asked about the plastic uppers before. I thought they would hold fine but the plastic does seem to be a little too flexy. They didn't break on me but flexed a ton when trying to push against a ledge. I have now replaced them with machined links.

We'll see if I make the big show, not holding my breath right now.

Deinitely disappointed I didn't make Saturday. Thats the risk you take with switching cars and such though. Oh well, we will have a great time and I'll still get a bunch of run time on it tomorrow.

I just received my SSZ-11 rims. They are HAWT (thanks to Jim at VP for expediting my order!). I'm going to run 2-stage 5.5 Novas all around with Losi Boss Claws in them. The rims are really narrow - should I cut the inner foam the same width as the wheel or larger?

In my findings the Boss Claws work best with a full foam. I also run them on .7s. I recommend running the stock pink foam in the rear and the full 5.5 nova foam upfront with no cutting. GL.

I suggest 350 hubs with the SSZ wheels but 250 hubs with all other SLW's.

Yes, you do have to register with them and they will email it to you. It's a matter of minutes.

Thanks for the answer on the hub sizing...I thought I had seen it, but wanted make sure that is what you stuck with in the end. Which version of the SSZ's did you get...the CLEAR or RAW. I assume the CLEAR is geared more towards scale trucks to provide a cleaner look whereas the RAW would be just what it says and fine for comp crawlers.

I run my Novas at full width on 1" wheels. I do not hbe Novas in this set of wheels and tires however.

Ok - I'm going crazy trying to mount these Boss Claws onto these super narrow VP SSZ beadlocks. One side keeps popping out. What's the secret?
