Harley's XR10 #AX50062

Very cool Josh! Style points for sure those wheels and that chassis look killer. 8)

I also forgot to mention that I have the whole Vanquish XR line of parts on the way to me.

I should have this stuff Monday, the one thing I am waiting on is a set of gears now. I am also going to pick up a set of Boss Claws. The next comp I have is an indoor comp in Omaha and the pins seem to be the tire of choice there.

I also weighed the chassis before I installed it as a baseline. I plan on making some modifications to lighten the chassis up.

Right now with everything but panel this rig is about 8oz's lighter than my Berg. Running an 1100mah battery I am at 5.7 lbs, which includes the electronics tray and box from the stock XR10 (which will be removed).

What is the center of screw to center of screw on the steering tie rod with VP knuckles? Prefer in MM if you can do it.

It's looking great Harley. You're planning on using the stock shocks?

I had my rig at 5 lbs. ,but I didn't like it so light. I like being at about 5. 7 lbs. I like it there.

I have found that when getting it light I need to make sure I keep close attention on my bias point. Its easy to get light but lose your bias. I have had my berg down around 5.2 and it was good but I needed to lighten the rear axle and get new batteries to get it right and I didnt have the time.

I'll make sure this one is setup just right ;-)

Finished the general setup of the truck last night. Still have to do the shock tuning and hopefully get some tires and foams here before I leave for Omaha this weekend.

Here is a baseline weight without panels, running an 1100mah battery:

Looking good bro. You should be able to shave some more wieght, no problem. One I get all my wires reduced, I should have a good idea where my v3 sits in wieght.

I also decided to go with the Futaba 4PL in this rig too. I like my 4PK more but I figured I might as well run this radio to get used to it and allow others to get a hold of it.

This is the wiring configuration I am using with the 4PL

There's something missing in this picture.

What happen to channel 3?

The stainless links are fairly heavy. I may go to titanium but it's not a huge concern right now. First I will be going to much smaller batteries and making some chassis modifications. I have a new skid in mind too.
