Harley's XR10 #AX50062

I will add this. When i looked at the 2660 big bores there are two different sizes of the 2660. There is a short and a long. The long one looks to be the one to use.

I don't think there are two sizes. If you look up the part number there is only one Traxxas part. Maybe you were seeing a set that had these and another set in them.

Here is what I just ran into with my frogger build on the bigbores. I needed a 3.5" and 4" so I bought the traxxas 5862 which consist of a set of 2660 and 2662. The 2662 measured 4" eye to eye and the 2660 measured 3.35" eye to eye. Did you measure yours Harley before the rod end mod?

Traxxas:
#2660 -- L, 3.5" c-c
#2661 -- XL, 3.75" c-c
#2662 -- XXL, 4.0" c-c

I was running 350's before but krawlfreak talked me into 475's up front and 600's in the rear. It is the widest I have ever run my comp rig.

How is this width working out for you? I have a set of VP comps up front and SLW's in the rear. If i wanted to run the same width can i achieve this? I see the Comp hubs dont come in the 475. 460 seems to be the closest.

This width feels great, no plans on changing or adjusting it.

It depends on if you have DHI's or DHII's. All that info is on the VP website though. You can compare which hubs correspond to similar widths.

I only see one wheel width listed between the two on thee VP site. Im looking in the specs. Am i looking in the right place?

I guess i have narrowed it down to the fact that i have pro comp ones because they are solid. I see where it tells me which widths for certain hubs being used with these wheels but i dont know what width i am shooting for. Do you know what width your front end is?

I'm about 10.75" approximately. The "Axial" widths they list are for an Axial AX10 though so you can't use that as the guide. The measurements are also to the outside of the wheel which doesn't take into account the tire bulge.

Well im about absolutly confused as to which hubs i want. I see now that the slw's i have on the rear come in different widths and offsets as well. As far as i can tell i have the .700 slw's on the rear and the spokes are pushed about to the max to the outside of the rime. I guess that is the -.02. What is your rear width maybe i can figure it out from having the front and rear widths i am shooting for.

No need to overcomplicate it. I am running 600's in the rear. If you look at VP's website you can see what offset on the DH's will coincide to a similar width.

So look at Berg, SLW with 475 shows 9.875"
So then go to the DH page and look for 9.875" with a berg, smallest it shows is 335 which is 10".

So there you go. Now make sure to take into account enough offset if you want to run knuckle weights.

The 460 hubs on DH1's will get you 10 1/2" to 10 5/8" outside of wheel to outside of wheel. Depending on tire bulge, total width is around 11 1/4" for me with Boss Claws.
