Harley's XR10 #AX50062

Mine's gonna be here this week along with my 2 fxr's. i have the graphite and aluminum pieces on back order, but i may build it anyway. It's such a sweet truck."thumbsup""thumbsup"

I got a 4pks it was the same price and the receiver is smaller!

Yeah, the new RX is great and the new directional pad on the radio is perfect!

Definitely build it, the upgrades will be easy pieces to swap in. The kit was really a nice piece to put together. I have had a lot of kits that I absolutely hated to assemble, the Venom Creeper and Tamiya High Lift are my #1 and #2 most hated kits ;-)

Gonna order the 4pks this week or next. Time to move on from my trusty M8 that has served me for the last 10 plus years. My son will really appreciate my hand-me-downs"thumbsup""thumbsup"

Rig looks great Harley!

And thanks again for the huge writeup on the 4pk. You convinced me and I dumped my dx3R for the 4pks and dual fxr's. I was 100% set on 1 fxr and punk dig for the XR, but that all changed after reading your threads.

Needless to say, I am Extermely Happy with the 4pks and dual esc's in my new rig

2 thumbs up and a cold beer for ya Harley "thumbsup""thumbsup"

Thanks guys I appreciate the comments. The Futaba guys take care of me so I owe them ;-)

So mr Harley.

I like the setup you have.

but the fact that your cant get the bite you once had....

Would you attribute that to maybe squat figures with this chassis?

I got mine set up. I took it out and it just destroyed my home pile.

So i am taking it to a comp on Saturday, so hopefully Rubbaneck and Sparkey can show me the wrongs in my geometry.

The geometry is definitely something I need to work on. I will run it a bunch more before I make any drastic changes.

In the future I will of course change the chassis out :ror:

Here are some updated shots of my XR10 as it sits now. I replaced the lower links with Axials Orange machined high clearance links and replaced the uppers with the bent pipe links from the ARTR AX10.

It is a little heavier than I would like, about the same as my Berg actually. However it still isn't climbing like my Berg does. Still need to do some tuning to figure out why. This is with the MaxAmps 1800 pack in there which is WAY larger than I would normally run, so that is definitely accounting for a sizeable increase.

Did you use any spacers on the lower links since they are a little shorter than the original links?

Picked up my xr and 2 fxr combos today. We have a small crawl session tomorrow, so i will start on her tomorrow night. Btw i jumped on the 4PKS bandwagon and it will be here next Friday. "thumbsup""thumbsup" I don't know if i am more excited to be building this kit or using such a sweet radio. I am thinking a little of both!!

Look what just showed up  The new Futaba 4PL!!

It's been a crazy month for me, had a bunch of stuff happen that has taken me away a bit lately. Hope to get back in the swing of things soon so I can get back to driving my XR10.

I know it's a stupid question, but will you be doing a full write-up/tips and tricks thread like you did for the 3PM-X? Videos are nice too "thumbsup"

Absolutely. I already started the thread: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=277689

It will be just like the 4PK thread with videos and pictures. Wiring dual ESC's can get tricky for people so I will have wiring diagrams and such as well. "thumbsup"

Finally... I sold my DX3R and the Next day. Tower changed the ETA to end of NOV....:(

Are all the buttons easy to get to on the fly?
