Harley's XR10 #AX50062

I'm really still too pissed off to talk about them  Castle is local to me, so I will go down there next week and get a new one in exchange.

I didn't take time to read the upper post...Sorry to hear that. I would also be
pissed out of my mind. I did read that some people would get random ESC that
just wouldn't work....I did a cheap hook up to mine to make sure I didn't get one
that was a random smoker. Sucks you got a crap one.

When you did have them hooked up how did you like the size? Were you able to
fit everything in the chassis?

I wish I could tell you. Until I get them replaced I won't know. I just like to try all kinds of different options. It helps to be able to support things like the 4PK and 4PL when I can help people with setup and such.

Yeah you do an awesome job with helping people (like myself)
So good luck with the change over...and hope you get that problem fixed...sucks, I had the same thing happen at a paintball tournament...I made a major change to a marker the night before....end result, I was pissed that a big issue with a part happened at the field and I was forced to borrow a friends gun for the day. Lesson learned and a lot of ribbing later :P
So I can totally relate to the furious side of things.

What a long weekend! The MWC is finally over, now I can get back to my normal.

On my way to Indy I stopped at Holmes Hobbies and picked up a new 35 turn motor. When I got to Indy I wired the new motor in and tested the rig on the rocks at the Rox Box. Everything worked and I was ready for the comp.

On the first course of the day however I tumbles off the wall and snapped one of my rear links. To get me up and running Rockshow from T1e set me up with a set of his XR10 rear high clearance links. Thanks again Mike!

I definitely didn't drive that great this weekend. Broke my rig on one course and couldn't finish a second course. I finished the other three courses but it wasn't enough for a strong finish.

I had some video shot, here is one of them. Thanks Jay for helping out.

Great save at the beginning. I definately thought that was going down "thumbsup"

Harley,
Got a noob question for ya. So you're running one new motor and an old one? Is there a noticeable difference in performance between them and does that matter? Sorry, that was 2 questions.

My motors were nearly new, just had something happen with my front motor that I couldn't figure out. So 95% of the time I will not mix and match new and used motors.l I also will not mix an match ESC's.

Talked with Krawlfreak last night for a little bit and lined out a few upgrades for the BJv4. I am going to upgrade to basically a full "Pro kit".

Right now my chassis weighs in at about 4.2oz's if I remember correctly. The new chassis upgrades will cut that down by nearly half.

This setup also raises the lower rod ends up so that they are flush with the skid, making the transisition smoother from links to skid and back to links.

I will be going to full height Lexan side panels which will be slightly heavier than my current panels but will help prevent breakage with the thinner top. The weight will still be less than the original top and I like the look of the full height panels as it give lots of room for some cool new skins.

I still need to get my Castle ESC's switched out so I can give them a shot. I am also unpatiently waiting to be able to order the new knuckle weights that will soon be released!

I've been paying hundreds of dollars a month for haircuts for the past year.... at least that's how I rationalize my alimony payments. I'm a pretty boy during the week, or going out, but not at RC stuff
