Harley's XR10 #AX50062

Had an issue at the comp today. Was bouncing a tough ledge and came down on the rear axle hard and under load. Not sure how but I popped e-clip off the 5th gear (36t on the final shaft) and it came off the pin. Then the gear spun on the Ti shaft and marred it bad. The shaft is now so tore up that I can't get the gear off.

Going back to the steel shafts for now. Hopefully I can beat the gear off of the Ti shaft and salvage it.

Thanks to a local member, Fat Jesus, I was able to steal his rear gear box and finish the day. Got a 3rd place after it was all said and done.

Just got my skinz installed. I am too tired to Install the servo tonight though.

These new Freq E Skinz install on the inside of the panels for more protection and gloss.

Not knowelaged much on MOA parts n pieces but that sounds horrid & would love some carnage pics

I have it in pieces now, except for the gear stuck on the shaft. Found the e-clip in 2 pieces in the case tonight when I got home. Guessing maybe it was cracked or something from the get-go.

Glad I found it now and not when I was a thousand miles away at ECC.

How did the gears hold up to the e-clip scandal? Were they all still usable? I just ordered the Ti shafts and complete Axial machined gear set and was just curious.

Gears all seem to be completely unaffected. I think the Ti shafts are still a good upgrade, just something strange about the install of the e-clip. Probably my fault.

Well this should be a busy week. All my VP stuff will be here soon and I am really excited to get my Ti links.

I need to see if I can get this gear off the FUBAR'D Ti shaft.

I got a little package in the mail today. I got a few replacement parts and a couple pieces of Axial Carbon Fiber.

Last nights project was to modify my 4PK case. I wanted more storage and more easily accessible.

I went to Walmart and picked up three of these:

A little trimming with a bread knife and this is how I organized the area:

These cases will hold all my spares and extra possibly needed pieces.

Then I went on to modifying the top of the case. Since I am running the new BJ V4 pro I decided it would be a good idea to carry spare chassis parts in the outside chance a huge fall were to harm the chassis. I also cut an area in the case to carry a spare Futaba servo.

Great job cutting the foam, it looks like it was made like that. I need to get something like that myself before ECC. "thumbsup"

The reason I did this was for ECC actually. My plan is to be able to carry-on this and my backpack without checking anything. This case should have everything I need minus my rig itself. Clothes will go in a spacebag and clean-up stuff should take up minimal room. I am trying to stay ultra efficient.

Very nice Harley!!!

Im debating buyin the 4pm case for my 4pl that I should be getting back from futaba today.

I have been wanting to do something similar to that, to carry tools and parts on the rocks with me.

Those skins look great, one of the best looking sets of skins I have seen. I also like the SSZ wheel on the 4pk, evreything should have VP wheels!
