Harley's XR10 #AX50062

Yeah so has Greg. He also wires his front ESC first, like you have from what I can see. But given my background and education, I just can't get myself to do it yet though . Again nice job on the wiring, looks very tidy. Now where did you get that 11 year old Chinese girl you hired, I know your not that good :lmao:

I do have the front ESC first. I know exactly what you mean about the theory of it all though. Kind of why I can't get myself to go to 20 gauge. I know average amp draw is small enough to flow through it but I am worried about spikes.

And yeah I definitely was the one wielding the soldering iron! Local member, Fat Jesus as we call him, did the dirty work.

Also, I wanted to note that I am still running the BEC and servo into the RX. I do NOT have my BEC wired direct to the servo like I was going to. I could have reduced some of the wires by going direct but this is just much easier.

wiring looks great Josh.

any breakage out of the axial gears yet?

Lemme know if you want to got throw some gates out and practice in the evening tue, wed, or thur. I'll adjust my sleep schedule accordingly.

Nope, gears are doing well. The comp last weekend was brutal on trucks. Few trucks got ate for lunch, an XR10, a berg, plus a bully and XR10 took a bath.

Tomorrow may work to do some testing. There is a spot up north behind BC Customs house that would work. I'll talk to Jeff tonight.

Sorry, men't everyone as in everyone on this tread asking you questions, when
they are asking if the Axial gears are holding up just didn't realize if they were
stockers or machined. Thanks for clarifying.

Hi Harley,

I just bought a new 4PL (going with dual ESC's for the first time) and was wondering about the updated programming I've read about. Is there a way to tell if it has been updated or needs to be updated?

Thanks for your help!

Follow this programming video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQ5Qgo9qFco

There is a little note in that video that will tell you how to figure it out.

Hey Harley, I tried this but couldn't get it to fit in the case very well so I just unplugged the antenna and took it out completely. Do you think that's a bad idea? Seems to have plenty of range for crawling yet.

I unplugged the antenna on my 4pks receiver too, and have had zero issues. No interferance and plenty of range distance. Just did the same thing for wifes 4pl and it is the same - no problems
