Hats... who has what?

In my attempt to avoid sun burn on my neck and more importantly my ears (been sun and wind burned too many times), I've now looking for a source for a new hat.

I've been wearing an army surplus store black boony hat for a while now. It protects my ears, but is pretty hot and doesn't offer much coverage for my neck. Just wondering what the rest of you are using, and where you got them.

SPF30 sunscreen "thumbsup" Get the sport or sweatproof/waterproof version so it doesn't drip down and burn your eyes out.

As for hats, I've always liked the Tilley's. Lots of models to choose from. Australia has lots of sun and heat, so I'm guessing they know what they're doing when it comes to hats :mrgreen:

I use some spf110 on my neck and face and a doo-rag on my bald head. Most hats I've tried just retain heat and make it worse. I'm liking that vented boony hat though...

You really cant wear a Black Cover in the summer sun. Its not made for that. I wear My Marine Corps Desert Marpat all day in the North Dakota sun and never have an issue."thumbsup"

These arn't bad, although i don't wear it often. Not a big fan of hats, I just slap on some sunscreen. But yea i have a stetson straw hat (best in the heat), couple felt hats, and a box full of normal ball caps (Non-flat bills)

I just wear ball caps either my Browning one or one of my two Phillies hats, if I know I am gonna be out for awhile I just put on some sun screen and I am good to go.

FishMAXX has the best hat I've seen. Its custom made basically like a build you own car configurator. Can make the brim in various sizes to help add even more shade.
