Hey RC Car Action readers...

Sailboat?

In RC Car Action?

Makes sense. :ror:

All the cool magazines are doing it. Hot Rod has got a canoeing column now. "thumbsup"

I also heard that the New Yorker will be featuring Chinese "junks" this summer.

I'm all tingly just thinking about it.

Wow, maybe Off Road will get that hard core kayaking column I've been waiting for. "thumbsup"

Here is a great idea

How about the magazines actually do some leg work
MattH you said it yourself you seen rigs on here that amaze you. How about magazines actually contact such builders on sites like these insted of waiting for pics and companies to send you their shit? What ever comes in the mail that week is more than likely going to end up in the magazine... Am I right?

Contacting builders on here would show more intrest in this aspect of the hobby than waiting for it to fall in your lap. I can think of at least 10 differNt guys you could contact and feature their rigs.

Journalism. Hmmmm Accually doing work?

I can't speak for the magazines, as I do not work for one. That said, when I did, plenty of leg work and work in general was being done. It's an extremely fast paced job and a lot of work.

When I was at one of the magazines, we ran rigs seen on forums like this one and others as feature articles, not as a reader submitted photo.

It's the same as the full-size magazines, the readers' rides sections are reader submitted. The point is to give people a chance to show off. You're just as likely to see a Rustler with a few hop-ups as you are to see a hand-built one-off crawler. Over the years I've some jaw dropping work and I've some rather ordinary stuff. Same as the full-size magazines.

Bottom line: if you don't feel like you're getting your money's worth out of any magazine, exercise some free will and don't buy it.

Speaking of scale crawlers, does anyone know if chilis is going to extend their hours again? I heard a rumor that they will extend to midnight.

Anyone find it ironic that I served my country , am a combat veteran and am proud of it . I gave a lot so people like you could argue about your toy trucks , don't pick fights on the Internet , that wasn't my point.
I have a few hobbies , and RC has always proven to be a dick swinging contest . I ride a dual sport motorcycle , it's dirty , ugly and slow , and I ride with guys on $30,000 Harley's . In the motorcycle the world the only people that really have that attitude are the little boys on sports bikes , 99% of which have never been over 80mph on the thing .
Did you serve in the Marine Corps ? Doubt it .... What does my screen name have anything to do with anything ? Grow up dick .... Calling people you don't know out on the Internet is childish and plain sad.

I'm not picking a fight, dumba$$. Read my post again. It had nothing to do with you serving your country. I'm all for it. Everyone chooses their own life path. I just thought it funny that a Marine would post about elitism, given the history of the Marines. not "OMFG HE'S ATTACKING MY CHARACTER PERSONALLY." I have no idea who you are nor care except for our seemingly mutual interest in RC crawlers. Yeesh. Like I have anything to prove on a keyboard........an idiot's errand.

I can confirm that RCCA atleast used to contact members like this on forums. I know 1st hand because I got screwed and told to pound sand by my good ol buddy Kevin H. I have made this post before and will do time and time again. RCCA has missed lot's of advertizing $$ from my company and I have yet to buy another magazine since the issue when the ruined my truck. And any opportunity I get, I let all I can know my experience. Over and over again.

The below truck was mine and the add there is from the last magazine I ever bought from RC Car action. That was the Nov 2001 issue

I started this thread and the title says it all. You stupid fawking clowns just don't get it. Boo hoo, cry all you want. I wasn't attacking the builder or the rig that won, I was poking at RCCA and there lack of trying.

To the owner of the Jeep, nice rig! "thumbsup" I meant no disrespect towards you. "thumbsup"

:flipoff: haters.

Reguard less of what everybody says including myself I will continue to support magazines. I do like to sit down at breaktime flipping through the pages and discussing it with co-workers and inform them about the hobby as much as I can.

Although they do not feature scalers or crawlers as much is major reason why the do catch alot of shit on this site. Everything seems to be short course racing. Which I do not mind to a point.

With today's technology magazines are yesterdays news. The web can offer you 10 times the information your looking for with a click of a mouse.

I do not have any disrespect for the jeep or the builder. I mean hell that guy is probaly thinking hate if you want I just got alot of cool free shit.

Magazines need to come up with some sort of edge over the web. But concidering that particular truck as the best of..... Kinda hits a sour
Spot. Since I pesonaly seen plenty of better trucks and scalers in the readers rides section.

That is all

WOW!!!! As a newer member here im impressed with the king sized pile of douchebaggery this site really is on the seedy underbelly. Dont like something, Dont cry about it do something other than bitch. In a afew months Ive gleaned quite bit of useful information, found a few really good companies and talked to a cpl decent ppl. This is the crown jewel of stupidity though, So what if RCCA sucks in your opinion opinions are like assholes everybody has one, Let it be and pass on some good will, Warn ppl of scamers and such, and other useful things . This thread has singlehandedly made me decide to look for the button to deactivate and delete my account (Im sure some of you smartasses will voluteer to do it for me cause im not so and so) And I will definately NEVER give you guys 20 bucks or whatever the fee is to wear yor elitist Im better than you I have a machine shop in my gaage king of the f*^%ing hill attitude. If this iisses someone off so what delete and ban me before i can remove my own account. Pathetic ass clowns. Sad part of it, its probably just like everything else, about 1 to 2% of the people that really cause the issues. If I was from a rag and I read this kinda shit while diggin for something to fearture, I definately would not use it as a potential source for anything

99.99999999 of the people that say they're going to delete their account or post the thread;
"Man eff this site!, I'm leaving guys....I'm leaving and never coming back....I mean it guys....I'm leaving.....right now.....as soon as I finish typing I'm gonna leave........seriously....I'm leaving" never leave. RCC must of had something you like/liked to consider "Givin us 20 bucks or whatever the fee is" Keep your 20 bucks and just jump already.

We don't go around banning folks for speaking their mind...

No one does so why start now?

Did anyone read Ryans last post? Seriously?.....this thread wasn't about the truck or the builder....

(steps to the side.....puts on flame retardant suit)
Let the flames begin!
