Hey John,
I wanted to talk about getting a motor for a comp crawler and get your opinion on what motor/esc combo you would suggest for 2 cell lipo's???/
you can pm if you wish or email.
thanks.
For a comp rig, a 35t handwound with a 1300 25c lipo and tekin FXR would be pretty killer. You could get a bigger 2200 pack if you wanted.
hey john what brushed motors would you recomend for a cliff climber on 7.2 volts? what pinions? looking for torque and low end sensitivity, not wheel speed.
The only ones I have that fit are the 454 cobalt puller. Just put them in with 12t berg pinions and you will be good. Low end is great, but they are pretty peppy too.
ok im running the crawl master 1000kv with a mamba max in my ax10 im geared at 90/14 with a 3 cell. my motor dosn't get hot but my esc is hittin thermal any ideas???
It may be your BEC cooking. Do you have an external BEC for your servo power?
Hi John,
Quick question, I hope.... I have one of your Torque Master 55t motors, I was going to use a Mamba Max for an ESC, but changed my mind. I have decided to go with the Tekin FX-R instead.
My question is should I get the "Combo" package for an extra $20? Is the Tekin 55T worth it (as a spare)? Lastly when will you have them in stock?
Thanks John..."thumbsup"
The tekin motors are good motors, certainly a great spare. I don't plan to carry the tekin combos, but I will have the ESCs in next week.
Got a question for ya buddy. I just picked up 2 pullers on a trade on here that you made. I've never seen them before and can't find anything on them any where? They are blue in color, say 480 12t Cobalt on them with you stickers on them. They came in a clear snap case with foam packing. They look just like the 5,7 and 10t pullers but smaller. They are the same length as a 540 but the can is smaller. Any info on what batteries they can handle, what I can run them in would be a big help! I want to put it in the MRC if I can. Thanks John;-) Oh, and they have the motor plates with both of them!
Those are the puller 500's. You could run them in a berg, or a scale rig, or whatever really. Just nothing too heavy. MRC would be overpowered by them.
When are you going to get more of the 45t hand wound motors in ??
Around late next week.
I bought an integy v11 35t and couldn't get it to work and come to find out one of the brushes are broke and I don't understand why b/c it was packed well! Can you Help?
I don't have any spare brushes right now, but if you purchased the motor from me I can scrap a motor from stock and send you a new brush.
john as far as i can tell bec will stop my crawler from freezing up and put more volts into my servo right???
Yes, a BEC can do that. Most rigs need a BEC.
hey john i have a micro pro & i wanted to know ifi i can run a 35t warrior motor? &if so can i run a 3s lipo?
No way, that is too much for a micro pro. 55t on 6 cell 2/3a is the most I would push a micro pro.
John,
I had sent payment for 2 .6 berg pinions a couple of weeks ago and have not heard from you regarding a refund or a possible shipment date if you found another vendor, I sent an email through your site but have not heard back there either, please contact me and let me know if I should expect a refund or a possible shipment date. The amount was for $28.62
Thanks
Kolby
Kolby, looking for the email and order now. I still don't have a solid done date on the pinions. I will contact the cutter again today and see what is up, then get back with you about what you want.
i have a CC BEC and a mamba max on 3S 35C for my rockforce, may be going for a HH 35T as soon as their available. what amp should i set for cut-off on the BEC ? TIA
The bec is best set for 6v out.
hi there i posted up in the mrc forum to get an idea of what i needed from other crawlers and you seem to be the man with the answers. i am running as a scaler type it weighs around 4 pounds running the 1.9 prolines. i want to upgrade the motor, battery, and esc. i know that i want the torque master mini, and was recomended the micro mamba. i was told to also geta bec for the servo. its a full size 645. i was wanting a battery if possible to be smaller in size than the factory. 2.650x1.800x.670. if you could work up some kind of combo for me that would be great.
thanks again

The only way to get smaller with the same runtime is to use a lipo pack. How much runtime do you want? That is the best question.
I would recommend a Torquemaster Mini, B1R ESC, and small lipo. I will look and see if I can find a suitable lipo today.
Hello I was wondering when you will have 45t torqmaster motors back in stock thanks
Probably late next week.
