I just recieved my 2 Poly RC 2s 7.4v 22oomAh lipos and was curious of what amp charge rate you reccomend? All my other lipos(Xcaliber, max amps, ect.) have it on a sticker that was on the pack when I bought them.

are you supposed to charge the amount of amps? like a 5000 you would charge at 5 amps? or a 2200 you would charge at 2.2. For nimh i know the higher you charge the more power and the lower you charge you get less power but longer run times.

Couple of easy questions reguarding some lipos. What is the real performance difference between the HH 1300 3s, x-caliber 1650 3s and the thunderpower 1320 3s?

Also, I'm gonna be running an RR2/Mamba 25 in a 1.9 scaler with pede tranny and tlt axles. What do you recommend for gearing and battery?

One more, I've gotta little outrunner I bought a while back, it looks like a bm-16 in color, but I think its smaller, maybe a bm-9. Its Gold on the ends, grey in the center. I'll be running this one through an R2 tranny and wk axles. Will the quark 33 do ok or should I use a mamba 25 with it as well. Can you give me a battery recommedation for this motor and possibly gearing too? Thanks in-advance. I'll be making an order pretty soon!

I got a tech. question for you. Ok tonight I plugged in a test battery which was a 9.9v 2300 mah A123 battery. Now the motor turned like once then just makes a humming noise and got warm to the touch before I turned it off. I'am running a Tekin FX-R, CC Bec, with a 12t pinion. What do you think the problem might be.

John if you could i would like your oppinion. Im planning on a 7T puller motor with a mamba max on 11.1 in my summit. Do you have any ideas about running a puller in a revo size truck. Im aiming for crawlability with still being able to bash around with the 2 speed tranny thats in it.

John, I am wanting to get a couple of 2c Lipos for my rigs to try out. I am curious about the run time as compared to waht I have now. I am currently running a 3300 6c stick in my scaler with a 27t and stock axial trans(@30-40 min RT) and an Elite1500 6c saddle pack of yours in the comp rig with a 55t and stock axial trans(@45 min RT). Would I get about the same rntimes with the Poly RC 2200 packs or will I need to get a higher Mah? Thanks, Jeff

Was the motor or the FX-R making the noise? I had an FX-R do the exact same thing. I ran one battery throught it and only about 15 minutes into the next battery, and lost all forward motion. Just a squeel noise from the esc. And that bad smell when the smoke comes out of electrical components. I sent it back to Tekin to get the smoke put back in and as far as I no they replaced it. If you are within 120 days of purchase warrenty should cover it"thumbsup"

The cobalt 500 is smaller and has the same speed then why dosent every one get them instead of the 7t? Can i use a rooster with it? If it smaller then a regular motor it will fit in my truck. But it uses more power then a 55 turn?

The 7t has ridiculous power, that is why. Some people are satisfied with 55t integy power, and for those that want the same power at a lower weight the Cobalt 500 is a good option.

I just searched through your threads more in depth and found that you said there isnt really a difference between the cobalt 500 and a 540 integy 55 turn. So its not really worth for me to switch? Whats the advantage?

Lower weight and higher wheelspeed. Not more power.

1c - 2.2 amps. 2200mah = 2.2 amp hour

The HH 1300 has a better discharge rate as compared to the thunderpower- more punch. It is a bit larger though.

The 1650 Xcaliber is a runtime cell. It doesn't have great punch either, but has great runtime for the space it occupies.

1.9 scaler- 3s lipo geared slow

Unknown motor- the quark would work great, mamba 25 would be noisier but a bit better on startup direction. A 1300 3s 25c pack would be good and plenty for it.

The motor is getting power, so there may be something stuck in it. Make sure it turns freely.

On that voltage it would probably burn up in second gear, but this is an off the cuff guess. I don't have one to try it in.

On 2s lipo you may have better luck, and you would certainly need to run a bit of forward timing to keep the brushes cool.

Basically, mah is mah. You will get 2/3 the runtime of your 3300 pack, but maybe a bit more because you would shed so much weight.

I am looking at the Hyperion 0606i charger on your site, will a 6A 12v power suplly be enough for this charger or will I need to get a higher amp power supply. Also what do I need to order to make this charger good to go? Thanks.
