Hobby Town Oshkosh build days

Thats fine we are more concerned about the create day then anything else i guess we will do what jetboat is figuring and take it from there we actually have 18 sections and probably 8 approach ramps.

Lets round up to 20 sections, 25# of portland per section = 6 bags portland (94 lbs per bag) 1 extra. And 75# of sand per section at 20 sections = 30 bags of sand (50 lbs per bag). According to JetBoats caculations this should get us going good on the job, we can put this on my trailer along with the mixer. We can meet up at Kaspers on Sunday and head to Oshkosh in my truck unless people want to drive there on their own.

Right, we can get all the sand and portland on my trailer along with the mixer. I like the new numbers because it really cuts down on the hauling, just hope it is accurate.

Chris' at 9 am should work, we can go to the shop and pick up the trailer (2" ball). I will bring my trailer too so we can get it hauled in one trip. We need to remember to get a couple of buckets for hauling the mix and some heavy mil plastic to protect floors and walls. Burlap, disposable rags, garbage bags, probally forgetting many things.

Many hands make light work, who else is on board?????

I can't make it this WK-end... Something about being married I was told. :evil:

I'm in for tom. I will be @ Chris's by 9 a.m. , If I'm not I'm gonna drive myself down.

But unlike T-buck I NEED to Go to Hobbytown B/C I'm Married:roll::mrgreen:

worst case you will need a little more but, those calculations should be correct. I actually think you could add some sand to the mix and have it be good. I would think you could go 100# (or even 125#) sand to 25# portland but, I would experiment in small quantities first.

Thats 9 er clock did someone say niner.

Can you pick up some 5 gallon pails from work or no let me know

I'm off this weekend till Tuesday, but I might have a few layin' around somewhere.

Got me one of them there laptops now, so I'm back in the loop :mrgreen:.

It went pretty good. We could only haul about 250-300 lbs. at a time in the elevator, so it took about two hours to move it upstairs. We had a wagon/cart to wheel it in so that cut down on the lifting a lot. The old pick-up and Stinkyy's trailer were Maxed Out! But all went well."thumbsup"

We are heading down to oshkosh wednesday night to cover the tracks and haul in the rest of the supplies will be contacting Bob today he claims he has a bunch of plastic his deadline is wednesday to have it at the store.He will and i repeat will have the doors open for us to arrive by 8 or 8:30 am.

Dave and his little woman friend will be cooking a some kind of stew or soup so we can keep the cement flowing so lets hope we have enough the more the better for helping hands there will be racing going on saturday on the carpet track its time to call this a done deal and since i have a lot of my money invested that i will not be getting back so if anything goes bad at hobbytown the f in track will be set up in my back yard my neighbors will just like me even gooder then they all ready dont.
