Hobby Town Oshkosh build days

Had to have security keep the riff raff out of the build day the guy on the right side of the pic is trouble kinda like a stray dog crapping in your yard and then stepping in it and dragging it around your house.

MAJOR Kudos to Creeper for the way he did the finish work after we did the slop it on job. I don't know how he gets it to stick the way he does but it works....

Yup, he has the golden touch. I think he has special gloves cuz the concrete just sticks to mine.

Thats called the hand of god he sure did have the touch thanks to T-buck for the slow speed video nice work.

How did the material calculations work out???

The course is looking great, we are getting ready to start a course at the hobbytown near us.

We went through 8 bags of create 94 pounds each to 56 bags of sand at 50 pounds each seemed to best suited for our build we got a lot more to do and a second coat yet we have 18 4x4 sections and 8 approach ramps with climbs at 60 degrees and several tunnels going under and over on some so actually we had a few that took more then others.

If my math is right you used about a 4:1 mix then and about 35-40# of crete per section. Looking at the pics they are a little bigger pieces than what we did. So my figures were a little low but not too bad. That's some good info to know for calculating our next builds.

Big thanks to creeper(caarl) he spent all tuesday and plans on working all day wednesday on the course big thanks hoping to head down after work tommorow to check out the progress there is a chance we may be having the comp there on sunday keep in touch with the WiRCRC fall winter thread.

i work till 6 so 6:15 or so plan on doing some clean up bringing shop vac and what ever else can be done depending if dtinky is going or not.

The comp for 03/07/2010 is being changed to a different day and time late may or may even be cancelled all together sorry for the bad news.

A few members of the club decided to rather finish off the build in oshkosh and not be at the comp this weekend and i also decided to work that dat as well hope this does not piss any one off but there will only be gtg at kaspers as of 03/04/2010.

This build has put some of us on the not so friendly side sorry for roping anyone into this build lets hope when its all said and done we all have a great time and start enjoying the fun again.

Carl(creeper) has been working on the track three days straight and he finished up all the side pieces and the tunnel areas we all need to let him know we appreciate all he has done.We will be laying a skim coat on all 24 pieces this weekend and if all goes well we will be crawling at the oshkosh location soon anyone who is free and would like to help hope to see you on sunday.
