Pebble Pounder
looking for any go kart guru's to help me out.
me and a friend inherited a fl250 buggy for
free, complete minus motor. these things are
pretty ancient, 1978 to 1984. finding a stock
motor is proving to not be an option, but a transplant
motorcycle motor seems the go.
the thing is, its belt driven (vee belt). it has transfer case hooked
up to the back axle, with a big pulley on it. i have seen them
with 400cc snowmobile motors going pretty hard but we
just want it to run, somewhat safely. it has front shocks but
no rear suspension,if anyone has done anything similar
i would be interested to hear.
just thought i would throw it out there in the off
chance some has done something close, or heard of
the buggy. im thinking get a belt, get a bike motor
~250cc weld a pulley on it and put a spring loaded
idler pulley on too.im not sure if a vee belt can take
a motorcycle engine shifting gears? any advice would be great.
thanks in advance
